Our favorite Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is bringing its new feature called MIUI+ to global smartphone versions as well. And in our article today, we’ll tell you what features it actually offers.
MIUI+: New also for global versions of Xiaomi smartphones
It was the year 2020 when Xiaomi introduced its custom skin on the Chinese market under the name MIUI 12.5. We brought you its review directly on our XiaomiPlanet.sk website. It brought a few interesting updates compared to the original twelfth generation, and it also hid a new tool called MIUI+. This tool was kind of overshadowed—especially due to compatibility with a Chinese ROM only.
We had to wait several years for the global version of this feature. However, as the Xiaomi Today portal writes, this version is finally a reality, and thanks to it you’ll be able to try a specific desktop workspace mode on your PC or Mac device. It lets you control your Xiaomi device remotely, wirelessly, and unbelievably versatilely.
Let’s get straight to the features. This tool is primarily designed for sharing your smartphone or tablet screen and for viewing data from these devices. It gives you the ability to control various actions without interfering with the mobile device itself. On the device, a selected mobile app can even run independently.
An ecosystem between your PC and your mobile device
In other words, you can watch a YouTube video on your smartphone and at the same time write a message using the keyboard of your PC to your friends via any messaging app, or vice versa. In addition, you can easily copy text from your smartphone to your PC, quickly transfer files between them, take screenshots, and more.
MIUI+ brings a fairly strong connection between your PC and your smartphone or tablet. This connection has been something many Xiaomi fans have been asking for for years, and we can finally confirm that this feature is also coming to Europe.
However, a very important update is that at the moment, this feature is supported by only three Xiaomi devices that are currently sold in the global market. These devices should also receive the relevant system updates related to MIUI+ Global. Specifically, these are the following devices:
- Xiaomi 13
- Xiaomi 13 Pro
- Xiaomi Pad 5
