Chinese Xiaomi has today, after a long time, introduced new products from its smart TV lineup. Besides the impressive 65-inch wall TV, we also got a new model, the fifth generation of the well-known affordable lineup.
4 sizes and ultra-thin bezels
The new generation of smart TVs, Xiaomi Mi TV All Screen, will be available in four sizes – 32, 43, 55 and 65″. Perhaps the biggest visible improvement in the new models is the screen design, which now features ultra-thin bezels around the display. The models differ from each other only in screen size and resolution; otherwise, they have identical internal components.
All models are powered by a 4-core processor with Cortex-A53 cores and a Mali-450 750MHz graphics unit. The 32″ model is equipped with HD resolution, 1 GB RAM, and 4 GB storage; the 43-inch also got FullHD resolution, HDR10 support, 1 GB RAM, and 8 GB storage. The panels have standard 60 Hz.
The 55 and 65-inch models offer 4K resolution, HDR10 support, 2 GB RAM, and 8 GB built-in storage. These two models also include dual-band WiFi, stereo speakers with a power of 2 x 8W, Dolby Audio, and DTS-HD sound enhancements.
On the software side, all models come with the Xiaomi Android TV software layer – Patchwall. It’s tailored for Chinese users and offers Chinese multimedia content. A new remote with voice control is included with the new TVs. Of course, there’s also further connectivity in the form of Bluetooth, HDMI ports, USB, AV, and S/PDIF.
