The Xiaomi tech giant’s sub-brand POCO is preparing its upcoming flagship phone under the name POCO F5 Pro. And we already know the first photo of the device being readied.
The Chinese manufacturer is constantly working on its new devices. After the release of the Xiaomi 13 series and Redmi Note 12, the POCO brand is next. Despite the fact that we’ve already seen devices like the POCO X5 Pro, we’re still waiting for representatives of the “F” series, which is considered a flagship in POCO’s portfolio—by this brand.
Among the upcoming novelties, two smartphones should be in the lineup: POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro. For now, though, we don’t know whether both will hit the market at the same time, similar to what happened last year. Still, we do have access to the first photo, which—traditionally—strongly resembles the Redmi K60 model unveiled in China.
From the previous leaks, we already knew that POCO is preparing a new smartphone with truly interesting and powerful specs. Even though some specifications were leaked, until now we didn’t know what the design would look like. But that changed thanks to the well-known FCC certification, which revealed a single device with the POCO logo in white.
We don’t know whether this is the F5 or F5 Pro model, but it looks similar to the base model in the Redmi K60 series. Renaming a Chinese device wouldn’t be new—POCO often takes this approach from the Chinese division. The same scenario was also offered by the models from the previous generation POCO F4 and POCO F4 GT.
Even though we still don’t know the name of this white smartphone in the photo, information leaks have revealed some technical specs. The lineup shouldn’t miss an AMOLED display with 120 Hz, as well as an integrated MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor. The battery will offer 5000 mAh, and the main camera will be 64 MPx—even with optical image stabilization.
How do you like the upcoming flagship phone called POCO F5 Pro? If you have any other questions about the built-in components or the selling price, feel free to write them below in the discussion under the article.
