POCO’s official brand revealed new F8 series models — POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro — that will have their global debut as soon as November 26, 2025 in Bali. These smartphones aim to strike a balance between high performance, quality build, and modern software.

POCO is once again bringing in hardware known from China’s Redmi K series, but customized for the global market and optimized for the latest HyperOS 3.

Flagship POCO F8 Ultra: Sound by Bose and more

The F8 Ultra model is the more ambitious one of the two novelties. Besides top-tier hardware, it also features a specially tuned sound output in collaboration with Bose — the first time in POCO’s history. This partnership is meant to deliver better bass, higher-quality stereo, and an overall more premium sound experience, as POCO looks to stand out in competition in the mid-to-high segment of smartphones.

In terms of construction, this is the most premium model in the brand’s lineup, designed to appeal to more demanding users. It uses an improved cooling system and AI-driven performance optimization based on a new version of HyperOS 3, built on Android 16.

POCO F8 Pro: Great performance in a more affordable body

The POCO F8 Pro is positioned one step lower, but it still offers top specs that will be enough even for demanding tasks. POCO presents it as a “versatile smartphone” that combines performance, battery life, and a well-tuned system. The key aspect should be system stability and RAM optimization for long-term use.

This model also runs on HyperOS 3 with support for all key features, including device-to-device linking and more efficient RAM management. The device has the potential to become a new bestseller in the mid-range, similar to its predecessor POCO F7 Pro.

HyperOS 3 in all versions

Both models — POCO F8 Ultra and F8 Pro — will hit the market with the latest HyperOS version, available in several regions right away. POCO has already confirmed the final firmware:

HyperOS 3 for POCO F8 Pro:

  • Global: OS3.0.4.0.WPKMIXM
  • EEA (Europe): OS3.0.2.0.WPKEUXM
  • Taiwan: OS3.0.1.0.WPKTWXM
  • Russia: OS3.0.2.0.WPKRUXM
  • Indonesia: OS3.0.1.0.WPKIDXM

HyperOS 3 for POCO F8 Ultra:

  • Taiwan: OS3.0.1.0.WPMTWXM
  • Russia: OS3.0.2.0.WPMRUXM
  • Indonesia: OS3.0.2.0.WPMIDXM

Expected specs and equipment

Based on available information and leaks, the POCO F8 Pro should resemble the Chinese Redmi K90, or K90 Pro Max for the F8 Ultra case, and bring a very attractive set of features:

-POCO F8 Ultra / F8 Pro
ProcessorSnapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 / Snapdragon 8 Elite
Operating systemHyperOS 3 Android 16
SoundBOSE audio
Fast chargingup to 100 W
CoolingAdvanced and optimized for AI

With this move, POCO is showing that it has serious ambitions to change its position in the market — from a “cheap brand for young people” to a player with its own identity, delivering a premium experience at a significantly lower price compared to traditional brands.

Global users can look forward to an excellent price-to-performance ratio, powerful next-gen chips, fast charging, a clean and well-polished HyperOS system, and — with the Ultra model — even a premium sound experience from BOSE.
