We’ve been hearing quite a lot lately about the upcoming POCO M3 Pro 5G smartphone. Just recently, a teaser appeared online showing its design. This time, more details were revealed to us by the NBTC certification. It also hints at which region the model will be intended for.

POCO M3 Pro 5G is essentially the Redmi Note 10 5G, made for the Indian market

A new POCO branded smartphone was certified in Thailand under the model number M2013K19I. The device number itself suggests it will be sold in the Indian market.

We’d like to tell you that the upcoming model shares a lot with the Redmi Note 10 5G. In short, it’s the same smartphone.

We’re already used to changes in the model naming of Xiaomi, or rather Redmi. They basically change depending on the region it’s intended for.

The mystery is mainly revealed by the model code

The mentioned Redmi Note 10 5G is labeled M203K19G. The last letter indicates the market where the phone will be sold. “G” stands for “Global”, and “I” obviously stands for “India”.

You might already know the Redmi Note 10 5G. But if it’s not that familiar to you, then together with the yet unofficially announced POCO M3 Pro 5G, it brings a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with an increased 90 Hz refresh rate.

5G connectivity is handled by the integrated MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. It’s backed by 6 GB of operating memory, which is LPDDR4X.

There’s 128 GB of internal storage prepared for user data. It’s a bit disappointing that it’s only UFS 2.2 storage.

POCO M3 Pro won’t be focused on Europe

Just to be sure, it’s not completely ruled out that the POCO M3 Pro 5G will be sold outside India too. Maybe you’ll spot it on store shelves in other Asian countries as well.

The POCO model line is very successful. It got a great start with the Pocophone F1, which shouldn’t disappoint even today, and we believe quite a lot of people still use this phone.

Many people were eagerly looking forward to the second generation and further models that would shake up the smartphone market. Evidently, however, this naming has also become an alternative label for devices intended for other world markets.
