POCO will unveil its flagship with the Snapdragon 888 very soon. We have the first information

The still-unknown POCO flagship should arrive pretty soon. The first reports mention the flagship processor Snapdragon 888.

Will it be the POCO F3 Pro?

POCO has been a standalone smartphone brand for quite some time. Once a brand that belonged to Xiaomi, today it makes smartphones with a great price-to-quality ratio.

Since the company has a pretty solid fan base, it can’t just rest on its laurels. That’s why it’s preparing a smartphone with a Snapdragon 888, which should debut as early as January.

In the well-known EEC certification, a still-unannounced smartphone from POCO has appeared. It carries the model code M2012K11AG, while it remains unclear under what name it will ultimately be launched.

Unfortunately, the certification doesn’t show any additional specs beyond the model designation mentioned above. Given that rumors point to a January debut, we could expect gradual reveal of closer details already soon.

It’s said it will be the direct successor to the quite popular POCO F2 Pro model. Rumors talk specifically about the POCO F3 Pro, but so far it hasn’t been confirmed or denied.

So it should be another budget flagship, like the POCO F2 Pro. Despite the price increase compared to the F1 model, it didn’t achieve quite that big a success, but sales were still satisfying.

Along with the Xiaomi Mi 11 it should be among the first smartphones that will be equipped with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The Xiaomi Mi 11 and the improved Pro model should reach us as early as January.

Official prices for the global versions haven’t been published yet, but we can probably expect them to follow last year’s flagship pricing.

With its new smartphone and an attractive price tag, POCO could also stir things up in the world of smartphones with powerful hardware. Of course, besides the processor, the rest of the specs also plays a big role.
