Company POCO, as a sub-brand of Chinese Xiaomi, is preparing its next smartphone devices, such as POCO F4 5G or POCO X4 GT, and that also for the global market. And we already know some selected technical specifications, as well as the date of the official presentation.
Expected POCO F4 5G: 120 Hz AMOLED and Snapdragon 870 5G
Based on previous leak information, we know that the POCO F4 5G will arrive as the global equivalent of the Chinese model named Redmi K40S. It will come with a 6.67″ AMOLED display, Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of up to 1300 nits. The screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protective glass.
In terms of performance, you can expect the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G. It will be paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
On the back, there will be a main 64 MPx camera, which will also be complemented by a 8 MPx ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2 MPx macro sensor. The front camera will be housed in a display cutout, and it will offer 20 MPx resolution.
The integrated battery will reach a capacity of 4500 mAh. In addition, the smartphone will support 67 W fast wired charging. The back panel of the device will be made of polycarbonate; thickness will be about 8 mm, and the weight will be 195 grams. Black, grey, and green color options won’t be missing among the available color variants.
Affordable POCO X4 GT: MediaTek Dimensity 8100 and a 5080 mAh battery
The long-awaited F4 5G model, however, won’t come alone. At the press conference, another global POCO smartphone should also be unveiled, with the label POCO X4 GT.
As the name already suggests, it will fit right into the “X series”, known for a very good price-to-performance ratio. POCO X4 GT will be the equivalent of the Chinese model Redmi Note 11T Pro 5G, and it will also include a 3.5 mm audio connector.
The display will feature a 6,6″, IPS LCD technology, Full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), as well as a 120 Hz refresh rate and 650 nits of brightness. In this case as well, Gorilla Glass 5 protective glass from the well-known Corning brand will be used.
The device will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. This chip will be complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The back will house a 64 MPx main camera, an 8 MPx ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MPx macro sensor. The front camera will offer 20 MPx. There will also be a 5080 mAh battery and fast 67 W wired charging.
The pair of smartphones, POCO F4 5G and POCO X4 GT, will offer the Android 12 operating system, along with the MIUI 13 overlay from the manufacturer. In both cases, DualSIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.2 support, and an integrated NFC chip will also be included.
Press conference in just a few days
As the available leak information says, the press conference for these new devices will take place in just a few days. Specifically June 23, 2022, at 14:00 our time. It will be a global presentation, so official smartphone sales are also expected in Europe.
