POCO X4 5G as the smartphone name is already confirmed. The reveal should take place in February

A new smartphone from POCO at the beginning of this month received FCC certification. This should be the long-awaited smartphone called POCO X4 5G. A well-known insider also confirms this.

Confirmed model name

A leakster named Mukul Sharma on the social network Twitter shows that the device with the model number 2201116PG will be released on the global market under the name POCO X4 5G. It seems that it will also carry the same branding in the Indian market.

As for the specifications themselves, they could be very similar to what Redmi is about to unveil soon under the name Note 11 Pro 5G.

What specs can you expect?

Another leakster named Yogesh Brar recently said that the POCO X4 5G model will feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s quite possible that this smartphone will get an optical in-display fingerprint reader built directly into the display. In a small punch-hole cutout, there should be a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Let’s move to the back, where the main 108-megapixel sensor is expected, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and at least one more 2-megapixel sensor that’s not specified in detail. The smartphone’s power will be provided by a 5000 mAh battery that you can conveniently charge with a maximum power of 67 W. Wireless charging will be absent in this case.

That should make potential owners happy: right from the factory, it will come with a preinstalled Android 12 operating system, which won’t be missing the latest version of MIUI 13. Since the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G should come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chipset, we expect a similar, if not the same, chipset here as well.

We expect the POCO X4 5G smartphone to be unveiled sometime during February. Right now, though, attention is focused on the global presentation of the Redmi Note 11 series, which will take place on January 26 at 13:00 our time.
