In previous articles on our website we informed you about the first reports regarding the arrival of the very first gaming smartphone under the Redmi brand. Shortly after that, new fresh information appeared online.
Xiaomi, within the Black Shark sub-brand, already makes gaming smartphones, but Redmi, according to all signs, should bring an even more attractive price-to-performance ratio. Current news is slowly but surely confirming these speculations.
Official statements from Redmi
Just recently, the manufacturer itself released two posters to the internet, which officially tease the arrival of the gaming smartphone from Redmi. Thanks to them, we learn about a new collaboration with Call Of Duty Mobile, as well as an approximate launch date.
The phone will see the light of day already at the end of this month. However, the launch will most likely be intended only for the domestic Chinese market, and global availability is still unknown. The specs, though, look really good.
You don’t have to be ashamed of the specs
Several unofficial leaks claim that the smartphone will come with specs competing with other gaming flagship models. We remind you that none of these specifications have been confirmed so far and they are only speculations.
Under the hood of the expected gaming smartphone, we should find a powerful flagship processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200, promising truly high performance. In the AnTuTu test, this chipset scored over 630 000 points.
The device’s front should feature an OLED panel without curvature, which many gamers will definitely appreciate. The battery will have a capacity of 5000 mAh, and there will also be support for ultra-fast 65 W charging.
The smartphone’s price could be somewhere around €350. Of course, we’ll continue to monitor the situation and publish all the hot updates on our website Xiaomi Planet, as well as in our Facebook group.
