Since its spin-off from parent company Xiaomi, Redmi has been progressing really fast. They’ve announced their own product strategy, which includes the launch of the brand’s first flagship device. We finally find out when we can look forward to the Redmi K20.
It’s sooner than we expected
The first leaks said the device would be unveiled sometime in June / July this year. However, today an official poster appeared on Redmi’s official Weibo profile, teasing the launch of the Redmi K20. The event will take place on May 28!
That means that from the moment we find out the full specs—and especially the price of the expected Redmi K20—there are just 8 days left. The unveiling will be held in Beijing, the capital of China, at 14:00 local time, i.e. 7:00 a.m. your time. So set your alarm now, just to be safe.
The published teaser again hints at tougher, pricier competition, and the text on it means: “Flagship killer, full K.O.” The graphics themselves are made in the same style too. Redmi has really built up hype for its new smartphone—now they can’t disappoint us.
