Besides the long-awaited Xiaomi Smart Band 7, we also got a pair of smartphones from the new Redmi Note 11T series. Both Pro and Pro+ models will impress with a 144-hertz refresh rate and great performance.
The design is quite similar to the Redmi Note 11 series. We’re specifically talking about the flat side frame, which makes the smartphone easier to hold and gives it a more elegant feel. The fingerprint reader is integrated into the power button. Above it, there’s volume control. IP53 water resistance is also a plus.
A pretty fast LCD panel
Both new models have the same 6.6-inch display with Full HD resolution and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. What definitely stands out is the 144Hz refresh rate. We primarily see this with gaming smartphones, but here comes one big disappointment.
Because the display is LCD technology, not AMOLED. So readability in direct sunlight probably won’t be top-notch, and the black color probably won’t be as rich. However, the DisplayMate A+ certification is present.
Under the hood, there’s a MediaTek processor, specifically the Dimensity 8100. It’s genuinely powerful, and it’s clear that performance plays the main role here. In the well-known AnTuTu test, this processor scored almost 800,000 points. It’s paired with up to 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, and the internal storage reaches the highest capacity up to 512 GB.
The rear camera module contains 3 sensors. The main one has a resolution of 64 MPx, followed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and lastly there’s a useless 2-megapixel macro sensor.
There’s no shortage of Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC 3.0 chip, so you can pay conveniently in stores with it and you’ll also appreciate the pair of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology support.
The battery capacity of the Redmi Note 11T Pro+ model is 4400 mAh. It also comes with 120W fast charging. The Redmi Note 11T Pro model has a larger battery with a capacity of 5080 mAh and lower charging power of 67 W. These smartphones run Android 12 together with MIUI 13 as the overlay.
Prices and availability
Both smartphones will be available for now only on the domestic Chinese market in blue, gray, and black colors. There will also be a special Astro Boy edition for 2,499 yuan (352 euros). A launch of the smartphones on the global market has not been confirmed yet.
