How long will this smartphone receive software support? Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G should receive security updates until 2026, with the last OS version being Android 14 or 15.
Big AMOLED display
The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G fits in design-wise among its siblings—we mean sharp-cut edges and a similar camera module. Specifically, the dimensions are 164.2 x 76.1 x 8.1 mm and the weight is 201.8 grams. The fingerprint reader is built into the power button, and face recognition is also included.
Up front, you get a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Max brightness reaches 1 100 nits. The selfie camera in the cutout offers 16-megapixel resolution.
Enough performance and quality cameras
Performance is handled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset, but internet access will be available only on 4G. It’s supported by the Adreno 618 GPU, up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The back camera module is interesting. It houses a main 108-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture, followed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with a 120-degree field of view, and just two 2-megapixel sensors for macro shots and a depth sensor.
5 000 mAh battery and 67-watt charging
No Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, IR port, USB-C connector, and stereo speakers are missing. Everything is handled by older Android 11 with the MIUI 13 interface on top. The battery has a generous capacity of 5 000 mAh and you’ll also like the fast 67-watt charging.
