Xiaomi only recently launched its Redmi Note 12 series on the global market and is now adding two more models again. These are Redmi Note 12S and Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G.
The unveiling took place at a regional event in Athens, Greece. At the moment, we don’t know whether they will officially go on sale in the Slovak market.
Redmi Note 12S
Redmi Note 12S has a 6.43-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. In this case, the manufacturer chose a MediaTek processor, specifically the Helio G96. It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
There are three rear cameras, with the main one offering 108 MP resolution. Next comes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 2-megapixel macro, and a 16 MP selfie camera.
In addition, you’ll find basic IP53 certification, an infrared sensor, a fingerprint sensor in the power button, and stereo speakers.
The battery already has a standard capacity of 5,000 mAh, with support for 33W wired charging. The smartphone uses the latest Android 13 together with MIUI 14.
Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G
The model features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels). Here we have a Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 732G, with support for only 4G networks.
In this case, there’s 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. The rear camera has 108 MP resolution, plus an 8-megapixel “ultra-wide” camera, a 5-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie camera is 16 MP.
It’s a big shame that only Android 12 is included with MIUI 13. On the other hand, the battery is great, with a 5,000 mAh capacity and support for up to 67W wired charging.
As for the retail prices, Redmi Note 12S will be sold for 289 euros in Onyx Black, Ice Blue, and Pearl Green colors. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G model is priced at 329 euros in the same colors.
