The update rollout for smartphones from the Chinese company continues further. Redmi Note 7 is just now getting the latest MIUI software overlay 12 also in Slovakia. Our fan informed us about it and even sent us a screenshot.
Redmi Note 7 and MIUI 12
Redmi Note 7 is a popular and affordable mid-range smartphone. It hit the market at the beginning of the year 2019 with the Android 9.0 Pie operating system and the MIUI 10 software overlay.
The update is 818 MB in size and your Redmi Note 7 should notify you about it automatically. If that hasn’t happened yet, we recommend going into Settings and searching for the update manually.
Another way is to download the installer package itself using this link and install the update manually via the “Select ZIP” option directly in the update section. The update process itself should be started with a sufficiently charged battery. We recommend at least 50%.
A great set of features for a good price
For reminder: Redmi Note 7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, complemented by system memory with a capacity of 3 to 6 GB depending on the version. The display has a 6,3-inch diagonal and FHD+ resolution. You also won’t be missing the dual camera setup on the back or a solid-capacity battery of 4000 mAh.
An improved overlay with many new features
Since Redmi Note 7 has a large number of users, the latest update will make many people happy. MIUI 12 is completely redesigned and improved. It comes with new special algorithms that ensure smooth system performance.
The user interface is cleaner, more modern, and more attractive. New also are so-called Super Wallpapers. These are animated wallpapers that bring your smartphone to life and make your experience more enjoyable. There are also many interesting themes added for AOD mode (Always On Display).
MIUI 12 focuses on excellent security
In the area of security, several significant changes and improvements have taken place. The system has been enhanced with 3 main extensions that help manage permissions, sensitive apps, and personal data. These are Flare, Barbed Wire and Mask System.
MIUI 12 keeps you informed about your phone’s security status practically all the time. You have full control over which permissions different apps can get or not.
