Redmi Note 9T is building big expectations. The new model should offer almost exactly the same specs as the Redmi Note 9 5G, which was unveiled just a few days ago. This model is intended only for the domestic Chinese market.
Redmi Note 9T: Redmi Note 9 5G for the global market
This doesn’t apply to Redmi Note 9T, which will be available globally. The fact that this new model’s launch is coming is something we already know from various leaks and certifications. The biggest lure of the expected novelty will be that it will be the cheapest smartphone in the world with support for 5G networks. This will be enabled by a budget chipset from MediaTek (MediaTek Dimensity 800U), which supports 5G.
But this isn’t the only thing that’s enticing. Also worth mentioning is the 5000 mAh battery, which should guarantee worry-free battery life. The display should be an IPS panel with a 6.53″ diagonal and FullHD+ resolution; the fingerprint sensor will most likely be on the right side of the smartphone.
48 MPx camera, Android 10 and MIUI 12
The selfie camera will be placed directly in the display, in its top-left corner. From the supplied photos, we can see that the bezel under the display is a bit thicker. The main camera will be located inside a sort of circle and will offer at least three sensors. The main one with a resolution of 48 megapixels shouldn’t be missing an ultra-wide-angle lens and a macro sensor.
The new product should run on Android 10 together with the MIUI 12 skin, and support for memory cards shouldn’t be missing either. The novelty should go on sale in multiple memory versions—we can expect 6 and 8 GB RAM and storage with at least 128 GB capacity.
