As we already hinted earlier, today Redmi officially unveiled for the domestic market the Redmi Note 9 series. It consists of three smartphones: Redmi Note 9 4G, Note 9 5G, and Note 9 Pro 5G.
Even though some of these devices are already known on the global market, the Chinese versions have certain differences in their specifications. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the smartphones from the Note 9 series.
Redmi Note 9 4G
We’ll start with the most expensive model from today’s trio. It’s none other than the Redmi Note 4G, which, as the name suggests, is the only smartphone among its siblings that supports just 4G networks. It’s also simply an ordinary global rebrand of the POCO M3.
The front of the device is made by a 6.53″ IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone measures 162.3 x 77.28 x 9.6 mm and weighs 198 grams.
In terms of performance, the smartphone is powered by a mid-range processor called Qualcomm Snapdragon 662. It’s paired with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 / 128 / 256 GB of internal storage. The battery has a capacity of 6000 mAh and supports 18 W charging via USB Type-C.
On the Redmi Note 9 4G you’ll find a total of 4 cameras. On the front, there’s a teardrop notch housing an 8 MPx selfie sensor; on the back, you’ll find the main 48 MPx sensor, an 8 MPx wide-angle lens, and a 2 MPx sensor for background blur.
Redmi Note 9 5G
Next up is the Redmi Note 5G smartphone, which offers slightly more interesting specs. The dimensions of this model are 161.96 x 77.25 x 9.2 mm and it weighs just under 200 grams—specifically 199 grams.
The other main specs are identical to the 4G version. The biggest difference, as you can probably guess, is the processor MediaTek Dimensity 800U, which offers the advertised 5G network connectivity. There’s also a 256 GB memory variant.
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G
We’ll wrap up today’s article with the most powerful piece called Note 9 Pro 5G. Among all the models mentioned above, it has the largest dimensions 165,38 x 76,8 x 9 mm and also a weight of 215 grams.
The display specifications have changed as well. The size of the IPS LCD display panel is 6.67″, the resolution is Full HD+, and the refresh rate is a smooth 120 Hz. In the middle of the display, there’s a cutout for a 16 MPx front camera.
Performance is definitely not something to dismiss either. Under the hood, the device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, backed by 6 / 8 GB of RAM and 128 / 256 GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage.
In terms of cameras, it’s also a pretty interesting piece. On the back, you’ll find a set of four sensors, with the main one offering 108 MPx—and it’s the well-known Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor. The ultra-wide lens provides 8 MPx , and the remaining ones are 2 2 MPx sensors.
In this case, the battery capacity is 4820 mAh, and fast 33 W charging is included. Additional features don’t miss out either: a USB Type-C connector, a 3.5 jack, an IR blaster for controlling household appliances, and a new Bluetooth 5.1.
