A flagship tablet lineup together with original accessories is also coming to the portfolio of the Redmi sub-brand. Welcome Redmi Redmi Pad Pro, with the option to expand it with a keyboard stand or a stylus.
Redmi Pad Pro: 120 Hz, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and IP 52 durability
The new Redmi Pad Pro tablet builds on its design by taking inspiration from the new Redmi smartphone, and it also features a noticeably protruding camera module on the back. The dimensions of this device are 280 × 181.8 × 7.52 mm, and the tablet weighs just 571 grams (without accessories) — very nicely light.
The device comes with a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 2.5K resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels). It also supports Dolby Vision, a high refresh rate up to 120 Hz, and reaches a maximum brightness of 600 nits. TÜV Rheinland has also approved certification for eye protection against blue light. It’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective glass as well.
Performance is handled by a popular mid-range processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. It’s complemented by the Adreno 710 graphics chip, 6/8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128/256 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage (it also supports expansion via a microSD memory card).
On the back you’ll find a 8 MPx camera paired with an LED flash, which you can use, for example, for scanning documents. The same-resolution camera is also on the front and will be useful for video calls.
Four speakers round out the multimedia experience. You can also use a 3,5 mm audio connector for wired headphones.
The build also offers enhanced resistance to water droplets and dust, with IP 52 certification—definitely not something you can assume in this category of devices.
There’s also the Android 14 operating system. Enhanced with Xiaomi’s HyperOS layer, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and a large up to 10,000 mAh battery with fast charging via USB-C, with 33 W power.
Price and availability of the new Redmi tablet
The new Redmi Pad Pro tablet will start selling for now on the Chinese market, already in the next few days. Its base version will kick off at just 1499 yuan (about €190 in conversion).
Three colors will go on sale: dark gray, green, and blue. Configurations include 6 + 128 GB storage and 8 + 256 GB storage. As with the Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone, the manufacturer has also included a special Harry Potter edition. However, we still don’t know its price, nor the price of the original accessories like the keyboard or stylus.
