The Redmi K50 series reveal is getting closer. The manufacturer itself has started promoting some features of the upcoming devices. Will it really be a flagship killer.
On the Weibo social network, Redmi revealed several posters, and therefore also several key features of the new series.
2K display and Hi-Res stereo speakers
The Redmi K50 series smartphones will come with OLED displays, but what will make them stand out is the 2K resolution. The display panel will be made by Samsung, so it will truly be a top-tier panel.
The company also revealed that this is the most expensive display in Redmi’s history with pixel density of 526 ppi. The expected diagonal is 6.67 inches. The display also comes with DisplayMate A+ certification.
Redmi also commented on the stereo speakers. They will support Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Double Gold. Other interesting features include Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and support for the latest Bluetooth 5.3 technology.
Redmi will launch its mobile devices with built-in processors MediaTek Dimensity 8100 and Dimensity 9000. They’re truly powerful, and their performance is estimated to be somewhere around Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200.
Three models are expected in particular – Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro and K50 Pro+. The differences between them will be the processor used and the camera setup.
Performance peak
This certainly isn’t all the information Redmi has released before the official unveiling. The very MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip is so powerful that in AnTuTu it racked up over a million points, and its performance easily puts even the Xiaomi 12 series models to shame.
We know that the smartphones will be unveiled as early as Thursday, March 17, but only for the Chinese market. For the global market, they’ll arrive later under the POCO brand.
