Xiaomi’s sub-brand is bringing a new 120 Hz Redmi Smart TV X 2022 for an unbelievably low price. Last year, Redmi X series smart TVs became popular thanks to their top-notch features and low prices compared to the competition. Due to the success of the successors of this model, Redmi is introducing the Smart TV X55 and X65 2022.
The new TV is sold in two size options
The new model is available in two sizes. You can choose either X55 with a 55-inch display, or X65 with a 65-inch display. Both variants feature an all-metal design.
The backlit panel offers 4K resolution, meaning precisely 3840 x 2160 pixels. The display has a response time of 6.5 ms. Color depth supports 10-bit, or 8-bit + FRC. Coverage of the color gamut tops out at 94% DCI-P3. It also includes support for FreeSync Premium and Dolby Vision.
The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 also comes with a high refresh rate 120 Hz. That means a smoother experience when using the TV, and you’ll also notice the difference when gaming certain titles. The MEMC technology improves the resolution of moving images and reduces motion blur.
Hardware specs of Redmi Smart TV X 2022
When it comes to sound, the Redmi Smart TV X 2022 includes an audio setup that delivers optimal sound quality. You get 4 built-in speakers and 2 closed acoustic chambers with a power of 2 x 12.5W. The volume of one chamber is 0.38 liters. So you can enjoy a kind of surround-sound illusion.
As for performance, the new TVs are powered by the MediaTek MTK 9650 processor. The chip also features an integrated graphics accelerator Mali-G52 2EE MC1 GPU. The chipset is complemented by 3 GB RAM, and internal storage is 32 GB. The new TV also supports AI-PQ and AI-AQ—intelligent adjustments to sound and picture.
In terms of connectivity, the TV offers two HDMI 2.0 ports and one HDMI 2.1 connector. It supports 4K at an increased refresh rate of 120 Hz.
There are also other necessary interfaces, such as AV, ATV/DTMB, 2 USB ports, S/PDIF, and RJ-45. In certain cases you can also use 4 microphones—the bonus is that they can enhance the user’s voice even in a noisier environment.
Plenty of features for little money
Let’s wrap up with the price. The Smart TV X 2022 starts at a price of 2999 yuan, which is in conversion €403, for the 55–inch variant. The 65 inch variant is capped at a value of 3499 yuan, which is in conversion €470.
Prices are very attractive compared to the competition. Unfortunately, they’ll be available only in the Chinese market, and it’s unlikely they’ll reach Europe.
