The first notebook from an independent Redmi brand, RedmiBook 14, is taking a similar path to their smartphones. It tries to offer the best possible hardware at the most affordable price. In their home country, China, it works perfectly—but how are the prices for us Europeans?
New coupons
RedmiBook 14 in an upgraded version has stocked the popular and proven international seller Banggood, and discount coupons are included as well.
The advantage is the availability of EU Priority Line shipping, with no extra fees to pay.

But I’ll be paying VAT!
No, you won’t. The verified Banggood seller offers EU Priority Line shipping, which costs a fee, but it takes care of customs duty and VAT completely for you. So you only pay the notebook price—you don’t have to worry about anything else.
The EU Priority Line shipping method includes handling customs clearance, as well as all required fees directly with the seller. As a customer, you just wait until the new notebook is delivered by the courier right to your front door.
14″ display, aluminum chassis
As the name already suggests, RedmiBook 14 is a 14-inch notebook. Its display takes up up to 81.2% of the front, thanks to very thin 5.75 mm side bezels. The display has classic FullHD resolution, meaning 1920 x 1080 px.
The all-metal notebook body is 17.95 mm thick and has a total weight of just 1.5 kg. The keyboard has a 19 mm width and a key travel of 1.3 mm. Touchpad dimensions are 107 x 65 mm and it supports gesture control. It uses Microsoft’s Clickpad technology.
8. and 10. generation Intel processors
The foundation of the new RedmiBook 14 are 8th-generation Intel processors. The laptop is available in two versions – the more affordable model comes with Core i5-8265U with a maximum boost clock of 3.9 GHz.
The more powerful model has the Intel Core i7-8565U with a max boost clock of up to 4.6 GHz.
However, newer 10th-generation Intel processor versions are also available. The more affordable model comes with a 4-core i5-10210U running at 1.6 GHz, with turbo up to 4.2 GHz. The highest-performance variant features a 4-core i7-10510U with a clock of 1.8 GHz and turbo up to 4.9 GHz.
All laptop configurations include 8 GB RAM. The DDR4 memory module runs at 2400 MHz. This is fairly fast RAM that should be enough even for demanding tasks. The internal storage is a fast SATA SSD drive in two variants – 256 and 512 GB.
Dedicated graphics
At these prices, we’d expect at most an integrated graphics card. RedmiBook 14, however, is equipped with mobile graphics NVIDIA GeForce MX250 with 2 GB GDDR5 memory. It’s not a gaming GPU, but working in Photoshop, video editing, and even less demanding games it will handle just fine.
Redmi also didn’t forget about effective cooling, which is handled by one large fan. The air inlet area is 2530 mm2. Thanks to excellent heat dissipation, the notebook doesn’t lose performance and runs smoothly even at the highest loads.
No USB Type-C
Cost savings had to show somewhere. The RedmiBook 14 doesn’t have a USB Type-C connector, which has almost become standard on modern laptops. Charging therefore happens via a regular PIN connector.
However, the laptop’s build includes 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, an HDMI port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. On the bottom, you’ll find two stereo speakers, each with 1.5 W output. There’s also an improved audio feature—DTS.
The laptop battery has a 46 Wh capacity, with the manufacturer claiming 7 hours of online video playback or 11 hours of web browsing. Wireless connectivity includes dual-band WiFi (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0.
The advantage is the ability to unlock the laptop using a Xiaomi Mi Band 3 wristband. The laptop runs Windows 10 Home as the operating system in a Chinese version.
You can easily reinstall it to the Slovak or Czech version, according to this official guide. The manufacturer also installs an Office productivity tools package on the laptop.
