Just under a week is left until the presentation of the eagerly awaited lineup of flagship smartphones Redmi K40. As the release date approaches, we’re gradually seeing what’s inside the devices, and so far it looks truly fantastic.
In previous articles on our website, you could read about some of the specifications of the K40 series smartphones. Just a few moments ago, Lu Weibing, the General Manager of Redmi, shared more interesting information.
The display in the Redmi K40 will be fantastic
The posters you can see below revealed a truly top-tier display panel across the entire Redmi K40 lineup. We’re dealing with a flagship Samsung display called E4 AMOLED, which holds huge potential.
As you’ve probably already figured out, it’s a flat AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, a contrast ratio of 5 000 000 : 1, support for HDR10+, a refresh rate of 120 Hz , and a sampling rate of 480 Hz. There’s also top-class protection in the form of Corning Gorilla Glass 7.
Other positive upgrades include reduced power consumption and a higher maximum brightness. According to everything, all smartphones in the Redmi K40 series will feature this display. At the moment, we expect at least two, or possibly three models to arrive.
The manufacturer also revealed that the K40 phones will have one of the smallest cutouts for the front selfie camera. You’ll also be pleased with a higher-quality fingerprint sensor that will be more accurate and cover a larger area.
Dolby Atmos audio and solid performance
The Redmi K40 series will also get a new audio technology capable of recreating surround sound. The smartphones will be able to mimic 3D surround sound from movies, series, and basically any kind of audio. This will be handled by high-quality Dolby Atmos speakers.
In the Pro version’s lineup, we’ll find a premium processor Snapdragon 888 5G, which will take the already great specifications to a higher level. We at the editorial team are already very excited about the official presentation, which will take place in mainland China on February 25.
