Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is already preparing its revolutionary smartphone from the Mi MIX series. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 model is expected to feature cameras under the display as well as a bezel-less 120 Hz AMOLED display and other innovations.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4: 120 Hz AMOLED with no bezels and Snapdragon 888 5G
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed back in February that the company will launch a new smartphone from the Mi MIX series. Since it will be the fourth generation already, it’s expected to arrive as the Mi MIX 4 model, despite the fact that the number four isn’t perceived very positively in China.
The well-known source Xiaomiui shared new information on Twitter, regularly bringing leaks and expected specs. The upcoming device should come with the model number K2B, which appeared in the MIUI code. The unofficial model name is said to be “ODIN.”
The new device is expected to arrive with some advanced features, such as a front camera integrated under the display or support for mmWave 5G technology. The upcoming Mi MIX 4 is set to become a premium device that reaches for the very top tier.
The device is expected to feature a Quad HD+ AMOLED panel with a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The screen will offer an in-display fingerprint scanner, and there will also be top-tier performance powered by a Snapdragon 888 5G processor.
50 MPx sensor from Sony and 8K video
When it comes to the camera, the primary sensor should be a Sony IMX766 with a resolution of 50 MPx. It will be complemented by a 48 MPx ultra-wide sensor and a 48 MPx telephoto lens with 5-times optical zoom. Features like 120-times hybrid zoom, 15-times video zoom, slow-motion video recording (1920 fps) and 8K video support should also be included.
For now, though, these are still preliminary and unofficial reports. You’ll need to wait and see whether these specs are confirmed in subsequent information leaks. Xiaomi is also likely working on a foldable smartphone. Analyst Ross Young recently claimed that this smartphone should come with the name Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 Pro Max.
