Slovaks make a huge mistake on AliExpress: The biggest shopping trick for 2026 will save you hundreds of euros too

14. June 2026 15 min read 9 comments

At Xiaomi Planet and China Planet, we’ve been doing our thing for 10 years when it comes to smart shopping from China. And so far, we’ve brought you thousands of coupons covering a wide range of products—whether from Chinese, but also from European warehouses of our partners.

Best coupons every day in our FB group

Now, however, we’ll show you a unique process that hasn’t been written about yet on Slovak or Czech websites—but it can bring you even bigger savings. The guide is currently intended for AliExpress, but you can use it on basically any other site too; you just need to check the prices.

In this article, we’ll explain exactly how to pay even less for your purchases—yes, even compared to the coupon prices we show on our websites in the price boxes.

🔥 Don’t miss out: The second big June AliExpress 2026 sale!
Here you’ll find all the coupons

We tested this trick in detail beforehand—before we even started writing the article—so we can explain every single step precisely. We actually spent our own money and ordered a smartphone (Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G), which we’re using at home already. We’re really enjoying the fantastic price and the saved money 🙂

Before we start…

We, the team Xiaomi Planet and China Planet for more than 6 years bring you the best coupons, discount offers, in-depth reviews and tips and tricks not only on Xiaomi products, but generally on all goods from our Chinese partners. At the same time, thanks to our VIP support we handle complaints for our readers and customers, as well as any issues with shipments or communication with Chinese sellers, since that is often challenging.

During that time, we’ve helped people save hundreds of thousands of euros, and we’re very grateful that you all follow us and are part of our amazing “planet” community.

This is us – (from left) the founder of the websites Kristián together with his brother Frederik

This guide is again the result of our hard work—and at the same time of our enthusiasm for shopping from China, or from Chinese sellers with EU warehouses. We discovered something that other competing Facebook groups, Telegrams, or Instagram pages, which don’t even have their own website and often just blindly copy our work (even foreign websites), will definitely not tell you.

This article took us at least 20 hours of pure time, during which we tested the entire process, searched for the most advantageous sellers, and spent our own money on test orders.

We believe this guide will help you save even more—another dozens to hundreds of euros on your purchases. That’s exactly why it was created in the first place.

That is why we will be extremely grateful if you support our work by “buying us a coffee” through the Buy me a coffe service. You can do so via this link, via the QR code, or the button below. You can choose the amount of your contribution freely, and we will be very grateful for every contribution, even a tiny one. ♥️

Now, onto the article itself…

Table of contents

Since this is a long article, we’ll start by adding its content so you know what we’ll be talking about here:

  1. What’s the secret behind this trick?
  2. Setting up an account on Mailboxde
  3. Setting up your AliExpress account for Germany + price differences
  4. Correctly setting up your German address in your AliExpress account

What’s the secret behind this trick?

You may already have heard that prices aren’t the same in every country—and it doesn’t only apply to electronics or clothing, but also to everyday groceries. What costs less in one country can be noticeably more expensive in another. And exactly this principle also applies when shopping on AliExpress. Unfortunately, as we’re used to in Slovakia, everything here is more expensive than in other countries.

AliExpress automatically adjusts prices based on the delivery country—and that’s where the chance to save money is hiding. If you choose Germany instead of Slovakia, you can pay significantly less on some products. The differences range from dozens of euros and can even exceed a hundred on more expensive items. But how do you get the package delivered via Germany when you don’t live there?

That’s where specialized forwarding services come in. We tested Mailboxde.cz (Trustpilot rating on Trustpilot 4.5*), which has been working for years and we’ve had great experiences with it—even with large shipments like, for example, a bicycle weighing 25 kg. This service gives you a German address where you order the goods, and then they forward them to Slovakia.

Mailboxde.com GmbH warehouses in Zittau, Germany

For one small package, you’ll pay less for shipping to Slovakia than 10 €, specifically 9,63 €, but if you order several smaller shipments, they can combine them into one bigger shipment, which significantly reduces your postage costs. Another advantage is fast delivery by GLS courier within 1-3 days, with basic insurance already included—up to 1000 €. If you’re ordering something more valuable, you can also purchase higher insurance.

If you’d like to order a bigger package, you can use the shipping calculator as well as the complete shipping price list. This trick is simple, safe, and can save you a nice amount of money. In the next part of the article, we’ll show you the exact step-by-step instructions.

Setting up an account on Mailboxde

With the Mailboxde.cz service, you get a delivery address in Germany for free. The received mail and parcels from EU countries will be sent by this company to the Czech Republic and Slovakia for very low prices via reliable carriers. That’s everything Mailboxde offers:

  • German address for free
  • Email updates when your shipment arrives
  • Delivery to Slovakia from 1 working day
  • Same-day pickup in Liberec and Prague
  • Help with claims and returns
  • Combining shipments

This is what your German delivery address will look like:

Mailboxde.com GmbH
First name, last name, ID … (you’ll get this after registration)
Dresdner Str. 9
02763 Zittau, GERMANY

Update from 15.12.2025:

Mailboxde has changed the delivery address, or rather the street, from Dresdner Str. 9 to Äußere Weberstr. 90. From now on, the address looks like this:

Äußere Weberstr. 90
02763 Zittau
Germany

Setting up your Mailboxde account takes care of itself in two minutes, and you can do it via this link. In the form, you’ll fill in the required details like your first and last name, your address, the user type (an account for sending parcels from Germany to the Czech Republic and Slovakia), and then you just confirm everything.

Within 5 minutes, you’ll receive your own German delivery address by email.

It’s also important to know the limits and the exact shipping conditions of this service. You can read about all excluded goods and product categories on their website. You also need to consider the weight limit: for Slovakia it’s 30 kg, and for the Czech Republic it’s 40 kg. Unfortunately, heavier e-scooters or e-bicycles can’t be shipped via this service.

Setting up your AliExpress account for Germany + price differences

Now that you have your German address, you can start shopping on AliExpress as a “German”. We assume you already have an AliExpress account—just log in. Then, on the homepage, you need to change the delivery country from Slovakia to Germany. Since AliExpress works in English, logically look for “Germany” in the list of countries.

Shop at “German prices”

The other two items under the country, which are probably something like regions, can safely be left as default. You can also choose English if you don’t understand German as well as we do, and the EUR menu. In the end, just confirm with the Save button.

Alright—now across the entire AliExpress website you can see the prices that are available to residents of Germany. Below, as an example, we list 3 products with a noticeable price difference—so this is basically the main reason why this whole article was created.

Take a look at the price difference of the smartphone Honor Magic 7 Pro. In Germany it’s 799 € (during the birthday sale for 772 €!), in Slovakia 899 €, a price difference of over 100 €! Even after subtracting shipping costs of about 10 € via Mailboxde, the price difference is still almost 90 €! We found way more products like this, and you can find the full list at the end of the article.

Prices valid as of the original publication date of the article: 16.3.2025. Unfortunately, some products from this image are already sold out.

For our test of this whole guide, we picked the phone Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, which immediately impressed us with its low price of just 237 €. At that price, a cheaper 4G model is available to us in Slovakia—not the more powerful 5G one. We didn’t hesitate and immediately placed the order.

For comparison, we don’t even have such a low price with a coupon on DHgate, where the same phone was available at the time of writing this article for about 280 € (editor’s note: from 20.2. the price dropped on DHgate to around 230 €; we ordered when it was above 280 €). After adding the 10 € shipping cost via Mailboxde, by buying through Germany we saved another 33 €, which is almost 12% of the product’s value.

And that’s not even counting comparing prices in Slovak stores, where the smartphone in the same memory configuration is sold for 313 €. Note that this is the price after the coupon discount. Compared to the Slovak price, you save twice as much—great 66 € or 21%!

Correctly setting up your German address in your AliExpress account

After setting your primary country on the AliExpress website, the address also needs to be set correctly in the cart. If you have your Slovak address set as the main one, after adding items to your cart, it may show that they can’t deliver that product to you, or it may show a higher price for Slovakia—but don’t worry, it’s perfectly fine.

First, you still need to set the address correctly directly in the cart by clicking the “Change” option – i.e., to update it. A dialog window will open with available addresses, i.e., as long as you have more than one saved in your account.

Just scroll down a bit and select the option “Add new address” – i.e., to add a new address.

Next, another window will open, where you fill in your German address, which you received by email from Mailboxde. You can also view the address directly on their website in the “Můj účet” section and there Mailbox address, ID. This address is important so that Mailboxde can assign the parcel to your account.

Our address looks like this:

We were thinking for a moment about how to fill in the address in the AliExpress form correctly, because they require you to enter the German federal state as well—since they use 16—and at the same time also the city district.

This is how your German address on AliExpress, should look: fill it in exactly according to our screenshot. Of course, enter your first name, last name, and mailbox ID 🙂 We used a made-up phone number—you don’t need to provide a working one. The package to our DE address arrived without any problems even without any phone contact.

Then you just need to confirm with the “Confirm” button, and the address will be saved. After that, all that’s left is filling in the payment card and sending the order with the “Place order” button.

This is what the complete DE address looks like—just confirm the order with the button

After the payment is confirmed, you can of course check the order directly in your Ali account in the “My Orders” section. You’ll be able to see the order even after you later switch the country on the website back to Slovakia. Of course, there’s also the option to track the shipment in the portal’s internal tracking system, as well as to communicate with the seller if anything comes up.

You still have access to the details of your “German” order in your Ali account, even after switching the country back to Slovakia

Our own test order via Germany

So, on 10 February we paid for the order on AliExpress, and delivery to the Mailboxde warehouse happened on 17 February. Since there’s phone availability at the Spanish warehouse, this results in a longer delivery time than we’re used to, but with the money we saved, we didn’t mind waiting.

As soon as the seller shipped the parcel, we received the tracking number from the shipping company GLS by email. Of course, the whole email is in German, because the order was placed for Germany.

Also, throughout the entire shipping period, we regularly received updates about the parcel’s movement in our GLS email, so we didn’t have to track it manually. The day before and also on the day of delivery, we also got information about the delivery.

The email we received from GLS in the morning on the delivery day
The parcel arrived at the address, but did Mailbox send you nothing?

This happened to us too, but it’s enough to write to support

If the seller labels the package incorrectly (without the name and ID), then Mailbox has no way to link the parcel to your account. That’s why you need to write to support and send them, as an attachment, order number or the whole order from AliExpress. Exactly this situation happened to us: we contacted support, got a reply, and the assigned package was already with us the next morning—so customer support works great.

The parcel arrived at my German address—what now?

The GLS update about successful delivery of the parcel to our German address came exactly on 11:04, and by then—11:20—we already had a message in our mailbox email inbox from Mailboxde saying they received our package. Processing and assigning the parcel to our mailbox took about 15 minutes!

In the message, we can see the exact dimensions of the parcel, as well as its weight, who sent it, and also the original GLS tracking number.

Email from Mailboxde about delivery of the parcel to our German address

At this point, all you had to do was log into your account on the Mailboxde website, where the delivered shipment will be shown, along with all the necessary details—including the shipping price to your address set up in Slovakia or the Czech Republic.

According to this amount, it is then necessary to top up credit to your account, with payment normally made by payment card. The credit is credited to your account practically immediately, and you’ll also receive a payment confirmation by email.

Credit top-up is extremely easy

After topping up the credit, the option to send the parcel to the SK / CZ address you choose will appear. The next step is just as easy:

Just click send, then you can choose a carrier. We picked GLS, since they offer the fastest and best-value delivery to Slovakia. A big advantage is that the shipping price already includes parcel insurance up to €1000!

After selecting the shipping company, you’ll be redirected to the final check of the whole shipment, where the final confirmation of dispatch from the German address to the Slovak / Czech one takes place.

Shipment summary before dispatch from the German address

And that’s it, you’re done. After that, you’ll also receive a shipment summary by email, along with a new tracking number for the GLS courier.

We managed to submit the parcel dispatch order from the German address by 14:00, and Mailboxde processed and shipped the parcel the very same day. Their delivery is extremely fast – the next day GLS called us saying they had a package for us.

They delivered the smartphone excellently packed, in a completely undamaged condition and without any deformation on the box. See for yourself:

Current coupons and list of sellers from EU warehouses

You can find the complete list of coupons for “German purchases” in the article below, which we update throughout the year:

On “German” Aliexpress, we spent several hours browsing and trying to find the best sellers with the best prices for products in EU warehouses. We put together a complete list of such sellers.

Shop at “German prices”

Don’t forget that you have to open them with Germany selected as the country. If you forget to switch the country from Slovakia / Czechia, no products may show up, since many of these sellers do not ship to SK or CZ.
