💡 Info: At the moment, it is not possible to use the default preinstalled Netflix in the projector, and an error appears when logging in. You need to uninstall the original preinstalled Netflix app and download it again from the Google Play Store. The latest version works, but it no longer supports control with the projector remote. You need to use a mouse for control.
Our detailed review:
It has already arrived to us, delivery took only 14 days
We also ordered the Wanbo T6 Max projector from Banggood for testing. The order from the Chinese warehouse was placed on 22 November, and the package was shipped on 25 November. Exactly two weeks later, on 9 December, the Packeta courier rang our doorbell and delivered the package to us.
The shipping itself took only 14 days, which is truly an excellent delivery time given that the package traveled all the way from China and even during the Christmas season. Of course, we did not pay any additional fees such as customs duty or VAT, the seller took care of everything. On the day of delivery, we even received an SMS with information about the package delivery, and shortly before delivery the courier called us.
Over the next two weeks, we will test it intensively and bring you a detailed review. For now, we have unpacked and tried the projector, and it left a great first impression on us. The build quality is excellent, and the practical handle, which makes the projector easy to carry, is a nice touch.
The projector runs on Android TV, which brings advantages such as Netflix, full integration of Google apps, and the ability to install additional apps from the Play Store. We even found preinstalled Kodi and the Google Chrome browser in the projector, which is usually not available on Android TV.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the motorized image focus, which is controlled via the remote. On the remote, you will find two buttons with a circle icon, which you can use to easily fine-tune the image. A truly great feature.
As for image brightness, the manufacturer states 550 ANSI lumens, which could be very realistic. We have so far tested the projector during daylight with the curtains closed, and the image is clearly visible. Of course, you will get the best effect and image quality in complete darkness, but given the projector's size and especially its price, it has very good brightness. It is comparable to the more expensive Mi Smart Projector Mini, which we also tested for a longer time.
We don’t want to jump to conclusions yet, but so far it looks like the best budget projector you can get for around €220. That’s everything we’ve noticed so far from our initial impressions, and you can read more in a detailed review coming up soon on our sister site ChinaPlanet.sk.
Video review:
The power is hidden in its compact size
Still, you could describe this small but very handy Wanbo T6 Max projector in a nutshell. The dimensions are really compact: 195 mm x 137 mm x 201 mm, with a total weight of just 1945 g.
It offers native 1080P Full HD resolution with excellent brightness up to 550 ANSI lumens. That means you shouldn’t have any trouble watching your favorite series even in daylight. For comparison, that’s actually an even higher value than what the much more expensive and popular Mi Smart Projector Mini has—500 ANSI lumens.
Official Android TV system, Netflix and Google apps
Another great feature to mention is the presence of Android 9.0, so you can watch, for example, Netflix directly in the projector’s interface. In terms of connectivity, you also get modern Bluetooth 5.0 and screen mirroring.
On the hardware side, you’ll find a sufficiently powerful quad-core Amlogic T972 chipset with a maximum clock speed of 1.9 GHz. It’s complemented by 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. If you like convenience, you’ll also appreciate the option for voice input via a handy remote.
The audio output here is handled by 2 x 5W stereo speakers, which can easily fill even a larger room. On the back of the Wanbo T6 Max, you’ll also find an HDMI input, 2x USB ports, an AV port, and a headphone jack.
In the box, you’ll get the projector as well as a simple remote control, a power adapter for the projector, and a power cable.
