The Chinese company Xiaomi is preparing its upcoming flagship smartphone lineup, marked as Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. These have already been confirmed in their global version as well. In addition, developers have also started internal testing of the custom interface in the MIUI 14 version.
Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro confirmed for the global version
It seems the rumors about Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are getting more and more intense. And that can only mean one thing: the official announcement of these devices is getting closer and closer. Even though we already know several expected technical specs, developers have already started internal MIUI 14 interface testing—so the premiere is truly just around the corner.
Given these internal tests, it’s very likely that we’ll see the new flagship series as early as November or the beginning of December this year. The latest internal build MIUI 14 for these smartphones is labeled V14.0.0.2.TMBEUXM and V14.0.0.2.TMCEUXM, with “fuxi” as the codename for Xiaomi 13 and “Nuwa” for the Pro variant.
MIUI 14 interface based on Android 13
The names of these versions mainly reveal that the interface will be based on the Android 13 operating system. And the primary November launch will be aimed mainly at the domestic Chinese market. As is customary, the international launch will come a bit later, so global customers will have to wait a few more weeks.
This information complements the previous leaks. They also revealed the alleged design of these devices. A leaked photo has surfaced that may not look very credible, but at least gives us a glimpse of the concept—or possible design execution of the Xiaomi 13 series.
However, it’s necessary to emphasize that this is still unofficial and unconfirmed information. So we’ll have to wait for the tech giant’s press conference.
