Xiaomi has finally confirmed the unveiling date for this year’s most important smartphone. We’ll learn about the flagship photo phone Xiaomi 13 Ultra in just a few days.

Great news as well: the smartphone will be announced worldwide, so at the same time for the domestic Chinese and the global market. The event is scheduled for April 18 at 13:00 our time. It was revealed by a poster shared on Twitter.
The poster once again clearly shows a massive camera module, so Xiaomi is once again reminding us that cameras will play the main role here.
Xiaomi also didn’t forget to boast that it developed the cameras together with Leica, whose hand also contributed to the existing models in the Xiaomi 13 series.
Flagship photo phone
However, Xiaomi has kept the official specs under wraps for now, but we already know that the main sensor will be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 with a 1-inch size.
You can currently see it in the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The other two lenses will be an ultra-wide-angle sensor and a telephoto lens, also with 50 MP resolutions.
We’ll see whether these qualities will also be reflected in the final score of the prestigious DxOMark ranking, which Xiaomi would like to beat with this model—so it can crown a new king of mobile photography.
We already know the other specs
The remaining specs are no longer a mystery either. A slightly curved 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate will also be taken from the Pro model.
Power is currently handled by the best-in-class Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. You also won’t miss the latest Android 13, along with the MIUI 14 interface layer.
A battery with a capacity of around 4,900 mAh will be charged with 90 W and wirelessly at up to 50 W. It’ll be interesting to see what global prices we can expect. After all, the Chinese prices have already made it online, and they definitely won’t please everyone.
