The Xiaomi 17T smartphone series will be introduced globally very soon, and according to the latest leaks it will be one of the most ambitious models in this lineup. The manufacturer is reportedly planning the official reveal of Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro models on May 28, 2026.

The news should impress not only with aggressive specs, but also with a more premium design. After all, the first renders have appeared, showing a significantly more elaborate camera module and an overall more modern look. Xiaomi is apparently trying to bring the “T”-branded series even closer to classic flagship devices.
Premium displays and new Dimensity chipsets
The base model Xiaomi 17T is said to get a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Power should come from the new processor MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra paired with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and storage up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 type.
Even more interesting looks the Xiaomi 17T Pro model. It should offer a larger 6.83-inch OLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, which should compete with the most powerful Android processors. A big draw will also be the huge 7000 mAh battery with support for 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging.
Leica cameras and major improvements in zoom
Both models are also expected to focus strongly on photography. Leaks suggest Leica tuning of the cameras and the presence of a 50 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
It will be complemented by a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 32 MP “selfie” camera. The standard Xiaomi 17T should use a main 50 MP sensor called Light Fusion 800, while the more powerful Xiaomi 17T Pro is reportedly getting a newer Light Fusion 950.
Xiaomi 17T series with prices close to flagships
According to current information, the Xiaomi 17T series won’t be trying to compete only in the mid-range. The prices suggest a significantly more premium position. Xiaomi 17T is expected to start at around €749, and the Xiaomi 17T Pro model could reach up to €999 depending on the specific country.
That’s a significant jump compared to previous generations, but Xiaomi likely wants to present the “T” series as a more affordable alternative to classic models. The specs definitely point in that direction so far.
Another interesting piece of information is alleged support for a Chinese ROM, which appeared in internal software records of Xiaomi. That suggests that Xiaomi may also be preparing the release of the Xiaomi 17T series for the domestic Chinese market.
Until now, these smartphones have been primarily intended for global markets. If the May 28 date is ultimately confirmed, official teasers and the marketing campaign could start in the next few days.
