If you’ve been following what’s happening in the smartphone world, the name Xiaomi 17T definitely won’t slip past you in the coming weeks. The latest leak reveals the upcoming Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro models even before the official launch.
Hot Xiaomi news in our group too
We can expect bigger batteries, more powerful chips, and design tweaks that should move these models closer to the premium class.
Bigger panels and smoother visuals
According to leaked information, the Xiaomi 17T models will come in two display sizes. The base model will feature a 6.59-inch panel, while the Pro version will go up to 6.83 inches. The resolution should be high and crisp, with a focus on smoothness too—the refresh rate is expected to range from 120 Hz to 144 Hz for the more powerful variant.
From a design perspective, there won’t be major changes, but details make the difference. The back will get a slightly refined camera module, and there will also be a difference in the materials used. While the base model is expected to stay with a plastic build, the Pro version will bring a metal frame for a better premium feel.
Dimensity chipsets push the limits
Xiaomi has decided to use new-generation processors from MediaTek. The Xiaomi 17T is said to get the Dimensity 8500 Ultra, delivering high performance with a clock speed of up to around 3.4 GHz. The Pro version goes even further and will use a Dimensity 9500 with a maximum clock over 4 GHz.
Both models will come with 12 GB RAM, which is almost standard in this category today. Storage will vary by version—from 256 GB up to 512 GB. The combination of fast memory and a powerful chip should ensure a smooth system experience even with demanding tasks, similar to what we already know from high-performance POCO models like the POCO X7 Pro, which is geared toward top-tier performance.
50 MPx Leica trio with optical zoom
On paper, the photo setup looks really interesting. The main sensor is expected to have a 50 MPx resolution, and it’ll be complemented by a telephoto lens with the same resolution and a 5x optical zoom. There’s also an ultra-wide lens with 12 MPx.
On the front, you’ll find a 32 MPx selfie camera. Xiaomi is sticking with a proven combo that should cover most scenarios—from standard photos to zooming in without a noticeable drop in quality.
Battery and charging: The main highlight is endurance
One of the biggest draws of the Xiaomi 17T series is, without a doubt, the batteries. The base model is expected to come with a 6500 mAh capacity, which is a significant step up from previous generations. The Pro version goes even higher—up to 7000 mAh.
Fast charging will also be a strong point. Xiaomi 17T will support 67 W charging, while the Pro version can handle up to 100 W. What’s more, only the Pro model will offer wireless charging with power up to 50 W, bringing it closer to flagship devices.
Price and availability
The leak also hints at pricing for the European market. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to start at around €749, while Xiaomi 17T Pro could climb to as much as €999. The main reason is rising memory prices and more powerful hardware.
Even with the higher price tag, Xiaomi will likely deliver a very good price-to-performance ratio. Bigger batteries, strong chipsets, and high-quality displays make this series one of the most interesting candidates in the upper mid-range segment.
