Just two days ago, the company Xiaomi presented the world with a new generation of flagship smartphones called Xiaomi 12S. Devices from this family belong to the absolute top of the market in terms of specifications and equipment.
In today’s article, however, we’ll be focusing on a new device being prepared by the Chinese giant—about which, for now, we don’t know a lot. What we at least know is that we can look forward to a smartphone with a brutal resolution of the main sensor.
200 MPx smartphone
A well-known leaker on the social network Twitter, known by the nickname kacskrz, posted on his profile a message that reveals some interesting information directly from the MIUI system’s internal code. In the second line of the code in the screenshot, it’s visible that Xiaomi is preparing its overlay for the arrival of a 200 MPx sensor.
The role of the 200 MPx sensor in the unknown smartphone being prepared will most likely be taken by the sensor Samsung ISOCELL HP3, which currently has a resolution of 200 MPx. The cooperation between Xiaomi and Leica should be reflected in high camera quality and premium features in the smartphone.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 2?
Several fans of the Xiaomi community believe that the new smartphone with a 200 MPx sensor could be a foldable successor called Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. Foldable smartphones from Xiaomi have always offered the best that the market has to provide, which supports this theory.
Alongside this high-resolution sensor, we can also expect a premium processor. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is a perfect fit for this task—it’s even a few levels ahead of its already excellent predecessor.
