Popular Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest laptop accessory. Specifically, it is a 5 in 1 USB hub, which you can use, for example, for file transfer or for transmitting video and audio.
Xiaomi USB hub: Low price or USB-C connector
Xiaomi is a technology company and, either on its own or through partner manufacturers, directs its products into really diverse categories. However, these are mainly products that make life easier for users, as proven by the new 5 in 1 USB hub.
This new product is made to measure for computers with a low number of built-in ports. With this new release, users get top-notch image and data transfer, still at an extremely low price, as usual.
This product catches the eye at first glance with its premium build. It offers a combination of durable ABS plastic material and an aluminum alloy in a silver finish. There is also a short USB-C cable, which is covered in fabric and has double protection against damage. This USB hub should therefore withstand long-term everyday use as well. In addition, the connector has a storage slot.
The USB hub offers a rectangular design with available ports along its edges. The connectivity is truly rich and includes the following:
- USB-C connector, with support for fast charging with output up to 100 W and Power Delivery
- 3 x USB-A 3.0 port with speeds up to 5 Gbps
- HDMI connector, supports 4K resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate
As you can see from the photos, this is a comprehensive product that can turn a single USB-C port on your notebook into truly excellent connectivity. The manufacturer also guarantees support for popular operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, Linux, iPad OS and Android.
Price and availability of the new product
The new Xiaomi USB hub 5 in 1 is going on sale in China through the manufacturer’s official website. The official sale price has been set at just 149 Chinese yuan.
In current conversion, that comes to roughly 21 €. Although Xiaomi has not yet mentioned any global availability, we believe this product will also appear outside China in the coming weeks or months.
