Xiaomi is slowly starting the rollout of its latest system MIUI 11, bringing a number of software updates right away. However, the manufacturer isn't resting and keeps working on the next version of the system for its smartphones. It will most likely be called MIUI 12.
MIUI 12 development kicked off
Information about the new system was shared on the social network Weibo. It was posted by Xu Jieyun, the General PR Manager of the Xiaomi brand. At the moment, we don't know the detailed information about the upcoming MIUI 12 system, but Xu says that the internal MIUI 12 development project has officially started.
This was announced at an internal developers' conference held at Xiaomi's new office buildings.

The system introduced recently in the MIUI 11 version brings, for example, new visual improvements such as slightly smaller icons, a dark mode across the whole system, the new Mi Lan Pro font, or an improved “always-on” display mode. New animations, themes, and wallpapers are also included, and notifications have been improved as well.
In the first wave, starting from October 22, the mentioned MIUI 11 update will be available for models such as MI 9 SE, Redmi K20/ Mi 9T, Redmi Y3, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, Mi 8 Pro, Mi 8, Mi 8 Lite, MI MIX 3, MI MIX 2S, POCO F1/ POCOPHONE F1.
