The first information about the upcoming Android 12 system updates and the MIUI 13 custom skin has made its way onto the internet. Here is the initial list of Xiaomi smartphones that should receive that update.

Update: Android 12 and MIUI 13

Android 12 is already fully in the works, despite the fact that many Xiaomi devices still haven’t received even an update to Android 11. We already know the first unofficial lists of supported smartphones that should receive the Android 12 update.

The currently being prepared version of Android 12 should bring a number of cosmetic changes, and a new system theme as well. Aesthetic changes will also be complemented by plenty of new widgets. You can read more about the first Android 12 images in the following article.

Besides that, the Android 12 system, just like the announced MIUI 12 custom skin, will also focus on improving users’ privacy. There won’t be any lack of enhanced data protection, which will give us more control over sensitive components like the microphone or the camera.

Based on the first images, we can also look forward to further improvements like new multitasking, a new way to share Wi-Fi keys, or a new control panel.

So we’re curious which Xiaomi devices will ultimately get the update.
