For a long time, we wanted to upgrade to an OLED TV, and after a long decision and watching several reviews, our choice fell on the LG C4 (OLED65C44). Since the Xiaomi brand doesn't have any OLED TV model for the global market, we had to go with a competing brand.

Current prices for the Slovak market

The LG C4 belongs to the best high-end smart TVs on the market this year 2024. Right now you can buy a huge 77-inch version for a record price with a coupon in the well-known e-shop Alza.

LG C4 OLED65C44 has been with us for 3 months

Although this is our first experience with an OLED TV and it might sound over the top, the movie and series experience—especially with active Dolby Vision—is simply amazing. We’ve had the TV for just a few days and we still can’t get enough of the great picture quality.

And we don’t want anything other than OLED anymore. The color display—and especially the blacks—is really luxurious. We were also impressed by the very thin bezels around the display.

As for the specs, we chose a 65″ diagonal (165 cm), which delivers 4K resolution at 120 Hz (in Game Mode up to 144 Hz). It supports Dolby Vision and Atmos. It uses the latest α9 4K Gen7 AI processor, which makes the TV run exceptionally smoothly, and we didn’t notice any lag like on Android TV.

LG’s WebOS system is tuned extremely well, and even though it doesn’t have as many apps as Android TV, you’ll still find all the well-known ones like Netflix, HBO Max, YouTube, or Skylink. Chromecast is supported too. You can also install KODI, but not via the built-in app store—only through an unofficial route.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the sound from the built-in 20 W speakers—it’s really high quality, and some users may not even need a soundbar. The interesting part is the LG “Magic” remote, which can work similarly to a computer mouse by moving your hand in front of the TV. There’s even a “scrolling” wheel in the middle. You can find the full specs on the manufacturer’s official website.
