- Xiaomi’s Czech representative office confirmed that its electric vehicles will also be sold in Czechia.
- Sales start in Germany in the second quarter of 2027, and Czechia will arrive in the second wave shortly after.
- Xiaomi’s first European showroom will open in Munich, where it already has a development center.
- As for the Slovakia, not a word has been said so far, but importing from Czechia shouldn’t be a problem.
When we wrote two days ago that Xiaomi found its first sellers in Germany, talk about Central Europe was only speculation. Now it’s more concrete: Xiaomi’s Czech representative office confirmed that its electric vehicles will also be sold in Czechia — and we also know the more precise timeline for when it all kicks off.
Czechia is confirmed, Slovakia not yet
Information was brought by the Slovak website TOUCHIT directly from the Czech branch of Xiaomi. Czechia won’t be in the first wave — that is Germany — but it should be followed right away in the second wave, so according to the statement from the representatives: „very soon”.

For us, this is a significant shift. In our article from two days ago, we were relying on an unconfirmed report from a Czech website, according to which the Czech Republic would be next only at the turn of 2027 and 2028. Now it looks more optimistic. However, there’s still no mention of Slovakia, and availability here isn’t known yet — but importing from Czechia shouldn’t be complicated.
Germany in spring 2027, Munich gets the first showroom
Sales in Germany are expected to start in the second quarter of 2027, which is a more specific date than what Xiaomi had stated so far. The company already has a development and design center in Munich and is preparing to open there its first European showroom with its vehicles.
The exact date for starting sales in Czechia hasn’t been announced. However, if the company sticks to its own plan, the cars should reach our neighbors still during the year 2027 — that is, at a time when in our country the decision about Chinese EVs will be driven mainly by price and the availability of service.
Why Czechia was chosen and what we get from it
The choice isn’t random. The Czech market is closely linked to the German one, and electric mobility is significantly stronger in both countries than it is here — for a brand starting from zero in Europe, it makes sense to go where customers are already buying electric vehicles. Xiaomi also doesn’t set up its own sales network in Germany, but relies on eight existing dealer groups, which is the fastest way to ensure service coverage.
And it’s precisely service that matters more when buying a car from Czechia than the price. Until Xiaomi announces specific service points in Czechia, it can’t be said how far a Slovak owner would have to drive for warranty repairs. The promised approach is clear only in broad strokes for now — Germany in spring 2027, Czechia shortly after, and the rest of Europe later. Once Xiaomi publishes the list of dealerships, we’ll know whether buying makes sense even without official entry into the Slovak market.
