Company Xiaomi has released another system repair update for HyperOS 3, which this time focuses solely on eliminating annoying bugs. Although no new features were added this time, the manufacturer has fixed several issues that appeared after the latest updates and affected everyday smartphone use. The fixes cover a total of nine devices, with most of them available only on the Chinese market for now.
The biggest problems were caused by the gallery and the camera
Xiaomi paid the most attention to models from the Xiaomi 17 series. Specifically, on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max model, in one of the system versions the Gallery app would close on its own. Another bug caused issues when sharing photos in HEIF format, which couldn’t be converted properly.

Owners of the Xiaomi 17 Pro model were also running into a bug when editing high-quality photos, where the app returned a server error. Xiaomi also removed an issue on the Xiaomi 15 model, where it was not possible to add text directly to photos.
The fixes also affected games and calling
The update addresses several bugs related to gaming mode as well. On the Redmi K90 Max model, after one of the updates the option to use acceleration via a separate graphics chip disappeared. The Redmi K80 model, on the other hand, didn’t allow launching the game Peacekeeper Elite in split-screen mode.

The manufacturer also removed annoying call dropouts on the Redmi Turbo 5 smartphone and fixed non-working contact search on the Redmi Note 13 Pro model. These are bugs that appeared in the HyperOS 3.0.304.0 version, and Xiaomi has already marked them as resolved.
Minor visual bugs also showed up
The update also resolves less serious but still annoying issues in the user interface. On the Xiaomi 17 Ultra model, during the installation of some packages, UI elements overlapped, making it harder to navigate on the screen.

These kinds of smaller bugs may not significantly affect the device’s functionality, but they do reduce user comfort. That’s why Xiaomi continues to release regular repair packages meant to gradually stabilize the HyperOS 3 system.
Affected devices and software versions:
- Xiaomi 17 Ultra (3.0.306.0)
- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max (3.0.315.0 and 3.0.306.0)
- Xiaomi 17 Pro (3.0.305.0)
- Xiaomi 15 (3.0.301.0)
- REDMI K90 Ultra (3.0.306.0)
- REDMI K90 Max (3.0.308.0)
- REDMI K80 (3.0.305.0)
- REDMI Turbo 5 (3.0.304.0)
- REDMI Note 13 Pro (3.0.304.0)
When will the update arrive in Europe?
For now, all fixes have only been confirmed for Chinese versions of the HyperOS 3 system. Xiaomi has not yet announced the exact timeline for rolling them out to global and European ROMs. Xiaomi traditionally releases new versions gradually by region, and if additional bugs are found, it may temporarily pause distribution.
The good news is that if any of the issues listed also affect global smartphone versions, the fixes will very likely appear in European updates over the next few weeks.
