Xiaomi has introduced a brand-new magnetic power bank that will stand out with its ultra-thin design and compatibility not only with its own smartphones, but also with the Apple iPhone 17 series. The official product name from the Chinese translation is: Xiaomi Jinsha River (or Jinshajiang) Magnetic Ultra-Thin 5000 mAh 15W Power Bank.
Ultra-thin design with a thickness of just 6 mm
Xiaomi managed to design a power bank that’s not only functional, but also extremely slim. Its body is just 6 mm thick, so it fits in any pocket, doesn’t take up much storage space, and doesn’t make your phone unnecessarily bulky. Total weight is only 98 grams.
The design follows a minimalist Xiaomi style — clean lines, a silver finish, and a magnetic mounting system that makes it easy to attach to the back of your smartphone.
It comes in a silver color that looks premium and matches even Apple devices. That’s exactly who Xiaomi is targeting.
Capacity and fast charging
Inside, you’ll find specially developed Xiaomi Jinsha River cells (which is why the product is named that way too). The manufacturer uses the same in its smartphones as well. The battery offers a total capacity of 5000 mAh, which can charge most modern smartphones at least once fully.
Thanks to 15 W wireless charging with magnetic attachment, you can simply snap this power bank onto the back of your phone and let it charge without any cables.
If you need even faster charging, there’s also 22.5 W wired charging. This combination is especially practical for people who use multiple devices. So you can conveniently charge via MagSafe or quickly via cable first — depending on the situation you’re in.
Compatible with iPhone 17 too
One of the biggest advantages is the officially confirmed full compatibility with iPhone 17. During the presentation, Lei Jun emphasized that the power bank works just as well with the new Xiaomi 17 series as it does with Apple smartphones.
iPhone users get a stylish and affordable solution that offers the same level of convenience as the original accessory, but at a much lower price. For comparison, the original Apple MagSafe Battery Pack MJWY3ZM/A was sold at around 60 – 100 €.

Price and availability
The product is currently available only in its home market, China. There, the power bank is priced at 299 yuan, which is approximately 36 €. In just the first few days, tens of thousands of users pre-ordered it, indicating strong interest.
We expect the power bank to appear on international retailers’ listings soon, such as Aliexpress or Gshopper.
