Power banks used to differ only in capacity. With the Power Bank 20000 165W, Xiaomi has bundled together things you’d usually find separately—however, almost nowhere all at once: 165 W total output, built-in cable, color display, and self-charging at 90 W.
And right now you can get it with a coupon that makes it a great deal.
The coupon drops the price below 65 euros
You can find the power bank on Gshopper and with our coupon the price gets to under €65. Prices are shown including VAT, and when you pay by bank transfer, Gshopper adds another 4.5% on top. Delivery with standard shipping usually takes up to two weeks.

If you’re looking for something smaller and lighter, check out the 10,000 mAh version with the same 165W output, which we wrote about recently.
165 W is the sum of two ports, not one
This is something you should understand right away, because manufacturers love to keep it under wraps. 165 W is the total output the power bank can deliver at once—it’s split into 120 W from the first USB-C and 45 W from the second. So one device gets up to 120 W.
Even so, that’s still a lot. One hundred and twenty watts will cover most slim laptops and even the fastest-charging phones, and since the second port can deliver 45 W at the same time, you can charge the laptop and phone simultaneously without having to take power away from somewhere. Thirdly, there’s also USB-A for older devices and headphones.
Inside you get four cells of 5,000 mAh each. The rated capacity is therefore 20,000 mAh, but in real life you’ll get less—Xiaomi officially states rated capacity of 11,000 mAh at 5 V, i.e., 70.56 Wh. That’s normal for power banks, it’s just not shouted about: some energy is lost during voltage conversion.
The cable is built-in and also works as a carry loop
The most practical thing about the whole power bank is the built-in USB-C cable in the braided sleeve, which also doubles as a carry loop. So you don’t have to bring a separate cable for your power bank, and you won’t end up forgetting it at home.
The important part is that this cable works both ways—you charge your devices with it and you also charge the power bank itself. And that’s where the highest input power comes through.
Charging the power bank itself is the second strong point. With the built-in cable it handles up to 90 W, and via the second USB-C port 45 W. With a sufficiently powerful charger, it’s not left plugged into the outlet all evening the way it often happens with twenty-thousand-mAh models.
The display shows more than just percentages
Instead of four dots, the power bank has a color display. In addition to the battery status in percent, it shows whether it’s currently charging or discharging, estimated time remaining, a warning for too low input current, and a fault notification.
An estimated charging time is a feature you’ll appreciate more than it sounds — with 20,000 mAh the difference between “about twenty minutes” and “about two hours” is significant enough when planning. Among the fast-charging protocols, the power bank supports QC3.5, PD3.0 with PPS, BC1.2 and Apple 2.4A, so it works well with phones and laptops across brands.
You can take it on a plane
For a twenty-thousand-mAh power bank, this is one of the most common questions, and the answer will please you. It’s the energy in watt-hours that matters, not the number in milliamp-hours. For this model, Xiaomi lists rated energy 70.56 Wh, so it fits under the 100 Wh limit set by ICAO and IATA rules. Within this limit, the power bank can be shipped without any airline approval, and Xiaomi states this directly on the official product page.
But the rules tightened during the year 2026, and they apply to all power banks—not just this one:
- Only for carry-on luggage. Power banks are completely banned in checked luggage.
- From March 27, 2026, charging or using them onboard is prohibited, and one passenger may take a maximum of two units. Lufthansa, Emirates, and Singapore Airlines introduced the ban earlier.
- Must be kept within reach, not in the luggage compartment above your head. It goes in the seat pocket, on your body, or in a bag under the seat.
CCC certification, which Xiaomi mentions for the power bank, is Chinese and applies to flights within China. When departing from Europe, they look at that value in watt-hours.
What to watch out for
Let’s be fair—there are two things to say. First is the weight of 486 grams with dimensions 157.8 × 54 × 43.5 mm. This isn’t a pocket item—it’s for a backpack or a bag, and it’s the price you pay for four cells and that kind of output.
Second: Xiaomi makes this power bank in two outwardly almost identical versions and ships them randomly, according to the manufacturer. They differ only slightly around the display—functionally they’re the same. But if you’re expecting the exact one from the photo, keep that in mind.
If you’re looking for a power bank that can charge your laptop, you don’t want to carry cables around, and you want to see how much charge is left—this one, at coupon price, is one of the most sensible choices.
