Even though China is struggling in tough times due to a dangerous virus, reports about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 10 flagship keep coming. A new test version of MIUI 11 hides new information in the code.

Unofficially confirmed two Mi 10 versions

Many of us are eagerly looking forward to the release of Xiaomi’s new flagship. The European launch is scheduled for February 23, 2020 in Barcelona. However, it’s expected that the smartphone will be announced a bit earlier in China.

For a long time, rumors have been circulating that it won’t be just one device, but that two flagship versions should be unveiled at once. We’re waiting for Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. A clever developer kacskrz from xda-developer.com uncovered in a new test build of MIUI 11 the code that confirms this.

The MIUI 11 v20.1.6 version from January 16, 2020 for Redmi K30 5G confirms the code names of these two devices along with the commercial names.

Mi 10 is tied to the code name M2001J2C, while the Mi 10 Pro model is labeled as M2001J1C.

This finding more or less confirms last year’s leak as well, that the upgraded model will be equipped with fast charging at 66 W.

In November last year, a phone with the code designation M2001J1C was certified in China, and it’s now confirmed as Mi 10 Pro. The entry reveals that the device supports fast charging up to 66 W via an adapter of 6 A / 11 V.

The two code designations don’t have a retail name yet

Two more devices with similar codes remain in the mix: M2001J1E and M2001J2E, which so far haven’t been identified and also have passed the Chinese certification process. There’s still no information about these devices, even though we thought it would be Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.

For the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 10, we’ve already obtained a lot of information, but only two are officially confirmed. The first is the processor Snapdragon 865, with which Mi 10 will be equipped. The second fact is a statement from Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun that the smartphone will be unveiled in the first quarter of 2020.

We believe that the flagship reveal can’t be far off, and Xiaomi Mi 10 will still surprise us properly.
