News from Xiaomi, specifically Xiaomi Mi 10T and Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro have been tested for their camera by DxOMark. Here are the photo and video recording results.
Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro: Tested by DxOMark
Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro are smartphones that are mainly distinguished by their high display refresh rate. However, you shouldn’t forget about their photographic equipment, which has now been thoroughly tested by the popular portal DxOMark. The new analysis may be a bit disappointing for owners of the base model Mi 10T, which performed worse than expected.
The flagship model Mi 10T Pro is rated better, mainly thanks to its main up-to 108 MPx camera. In the ranking, it reached 23rd place among smartphones. So it lands behind devices such as the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro or Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition.
However, the base model Xiaomi Mi 10T performed worse, ranking much lower. The main difference is the main 64 MPx sensor and the absence of optical stabilization. 65th place in the ranking means it ends up after smartphones like the OnePlus Nord or Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.
Criticism for exposure, color accuracy, and the ultra-wide camera
In both cases, the DxOMark results say that the camera lacks exposure; another weak point is color accuracy, and the wide-angle camera. This is quite an unpleasant surprise considering the slogan the device maker sells with — 108 MPx AI flagship camera.
In addition, it seems that the dynamic range of the Mi 10T model is rather limited. That affected the comparison precisely with the previous generation Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. On the other hand, this aspect is improved in the higher model Mi 10T Pro.
The main advantage of these devices still remains especially the high display refresh rate, which, however, is IPS LCD and not AMOLED. A slight downside may also be the price of the Mi 10T Pro model, which goes up to 599 €.
