Xiaomi has recently introduced the long-awaited smartphones from the Mi 10T series. Specifically, these are the Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10 T Pro, and Mi 10T Lite models. They offer a great price-to-performance ratio, with the cheapest model starting at €279.
Identical at first glance
While the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite smartphone belongs to the mid-range, the Xiaomi Mi 10T and 10T Pro models are in the higher mid-range. Despite the identical design, as was the case last year with the Mi 9T series, the smartphones differ in their internals.
Last year's series differed mainly in the processor, when Mi 9T came with a Snapdragon 730 and Mi 9T Pro had the more powerful Snapdragon 855. The display, cameras, and battery were the same for both models. Another difference was the speed of supported fast charging – 18 W (Mi 9T) vs 27 W (Mi 9T Pro).
This year, Xiaomi decided to tweak the new 10T series toward smaller changes than last year. This time, you'll find the same processor in both models, namely the Snapdragon 865. The remaining specs are also identical, but still, there is something that sets them apart.
What are the differences between Xiaomi Mi 10T and 10T Pro?
Despite the same dimensions and design, there's a 2-gram difference in weight. Mi 10T weighs 216 g, while Mi 10T Pro weighs 218 g. While you can buy Mi 10T with a configuration of 6 GB RAM, the Mi 10T Pro model starts at 8 GB RAM.
For Mi 10T, the available configurations are 6 GB RAM / 128 GB ROM and 8 GB RAM / 256 GB ROM. The Mi 10T Pro model is also available in 2 variants – 8 GB RAM / 128 GB ROM and 8 GB RAM / 256 GB ROM. Both smartphones have the latest memory: LPDDR5 for RAM and UFS 3.1 for internal storage.
However, the biggest difference is in the cameras. Mi 10T Pro not only got a larger sensor but also support for optical stabilization. In the Pro model, it's a 108 MPx Samsung sensor with an aperture of f / 1.69. There's also a great 30x digital zoom included.
Mi 10T received a Sony sensor with a resolution of 64 MPx and an aperture of f / 1.89. Unfortunately, it doesn't support optical stabilization. There's also a 10x digital zoom.
The final change is the availability of color variants. There are 3 options right away, but only for the Mi 10T Pro model. Unfortunately, the Mi 10T model isn't available in Aurora Blue, and it likely won't be in the future either.
Last but not least, there are price differences, with the Mi 10T model starting at 499 € for the base version. The Mi 10T Pro model is 100 € more expensive in its base, and costs 599 €.
