However, thanks to a new update, the ability to detect and initiate certain symptoms of the new coronavirus has been added as well. The new feature will be available thanks to a third-party app called Notify & Fitness.
Notify & Fitness will detect coronavirus symptoms
If you happen not to know it, the Notify & Fitness app is a free alternative to Xiaomi’s official Mi Fit app. It lets you not only track data obtained from the band, but also various options for customizing settings.
The new mode, brought by the creator through an update, can also record certain symptoms of coronavirus, including the developing fever. The band can measure your heart rate regularly, which can increase unusually in the case of an onset fever.
Based on this information, the bracelet will alert its owner to the mentioned symptom. However, the manufacturer points out that, understandably, this is not a 100% diagnosis, because an unusually high heart rate can have several causes.
