If you’re one of those who are anxiously waiting for some smartphone from the Xiaomi Mi MIX model lineup, then you definitely aren’t alone. Well, you’re waiting in vain, because unfortunately you won’t get any such phone this year.
No Xiaomi Mi MIX this year
Some people from all corners of the world are expecting the release of the Mi MIX Alpha model on the global market. This moment, however, is apparently never going to happen.
The same applies in general to the Mi MIX model lineup as well. Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, says the company isn’t planning to launch any such phone this year.
Fans ask, and Lei Jun responds
The head of the Chinese giant answered three of the most commonly mentioned questions addressed to Xiaomi, including the one about smartphones labeled Mi MIX.
Since these devices are essentially an example of imagined perfection, they’re very difficult to manufacture at scale. This is true multiple times over when it comes to the extremely prestigious Mi MIX Alpha smartphone. It looks as if it came straight from the future.
That’s why Lei Jun is asking fans for patience, because the upcoming model will arrive only after a bit longer wait. By the way, the question also came up about making their own chipsets.
The company allegedly ran into some difficulties, and presenting its own-made processors for mobile phones is not happening for now.
More information will be coming soon
In the end, the CEO added that he will answer only during the event presenting new products to mark the 10th anniversary of the company’s founding to any further, interesting questions. More precisely, this will happen on 11. August.
At this event, we’ll be treated to, for example, the presentation of a device that already looks like a real showpiece so far—Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme, along with Redmi K30 Extreme.
