Our favorite Chinese company Xiaomi also has the Xiaomi Mi Pilot program in its portfolio. Thanks to it, you can also become a beta tester of new features within the popular software UI skin MIUI.
Xiaomi Mi Pilot: Become a MIUI beta tester too
In 2019, Xiaomi introduced Mi Pilot to its users. A tool designed to let owners of smartphones from this manufacturer act as beta testers for the MIUI software skin.
This tool was created to avoid various bugs that may appear in the latest MIUI versions. In today’s article, we’ll explain what Mi Pilot consists of and how you can join the beta tester community too.
How to register for the Mi Pilot program
Mi Pilot is a kind of alternative to the global beta builds that are not published anymore. The tool works as a testing phase for new features before the stable ROM is released, and the main goal is to fix the bugs that show up before the official ROM release.
Joining the Mi Pilot program is really easy. However, you need to keep in mind that Mi Pilot will offer a test “beta” version only when the developer team MIUI is ready with it.
To get access to the Mi Pilot tool, you need to fill out this form, where you’ll be asked for the following information:
- Your account ID
- The MIUI version you currently have installed on your device
- The specific smartphone model you’ll use with the Mi Pilot program
As already mentioned, this program runs at specific times when the software “beta” version is ready. So if you want to be part of it, you have to stay alert and watch various sources on the web, in the Mi Community app.
