Xiaomi Mi Router CR6606 is a new router with the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard and a very affordable price

You already know for sure that the Chinese giant Xiaomi is also moving into the Wi-Fi router segment. In your lineup you already have several models, but maybe you didn’t know that the company has only just introduced a hot new product in the form of Xiaomi Mi Router CR6606.

At first glance, this new product may seem like just another ordinary router that we already have plenty of. However, the CR6606 model stands out with the implementation of the latest standards, including Wi‑Fi 6 or the presence of 5th‑generation networks.

Xiaomi Mi Router CR6606 is a decent machine

A new router that was introduced only recently to the domestic market is now coming to the world in cooperation with the fourth-largest telecommunications operator in the world China Unicom. This Chinese operator is very popular among locals.

Thanks to this collaboration, today we can see a powerful router equipped for the coming years. Its main advantages include the aforementioned connection standard Wi-Fi 6 together with support for 5G networks. The manufacturer claims that thanks to the new WiFi 6 standard, this router is up to 52% faster than the older AC2100 model.

Using modern technologies will allow you to achieve the maximum data transfer speed of up to 1,775 MB/s. A powerful dual‑core processor running at 880 MHz together with 256 MB of RAM will let you connect up to 128 devices at the same time.

Because the Mi Router CR6606 supports 5th‑generation networks, it’s only natural that they come into play here. The mobile services provider China Unicom offers to this router 3 GB of data, which the user can use however they want. Unfortunately, this convenience is only available to residents of China, where the operator operates.

To keep the signal strong and stable, you’ll find 4 high-quality antennas on the router body with a power of 4 dB. Support for Mesh technology, OFDMA, Beamforming, and WPA 3 encryption is not missing. LAN and WAN connectors are also included.

The price is great

The Xiaomi Mi Router CR6606 is currently available only for the domestic Chinese market. Its price was set at a great value of 399 yuan, which comes to approximately €51 / $60 after conversion. Considering the included equipment, it’s a genuinely nice price.
