Our favorite Chinese brand, Xiaomi, has introduced a new air purifier named Xiaomi Mijia Pet Air Purifier, specially designed for households with pets. It effectively removes unpleasant odors and reduces the amount of pet fur in the air.
Cleaner air for you and your pets
Spring weather brings more than just longer days and higher temperatures—it also brings allergy season. If you’re someone who suffers from allergies or you have pets at home, you’ve probably already heard about a smart air purifier. And if you’re looking for a model that can handle not only dust and allergens, but also pet fur and odors, Xiaomi has a new ideal solution.
Bye-bye to air full of fur and smells
Anyone who has a furry companion at home knows you can’t just get rid of fur. It shows up on the floor, the couch, carpets, and practically everywhere in the apartment. That’s where Xiaomi’s new air purifier comes in—Xiaomi Mijia Pet Air Purifier, specifically designed for pet owners.
And the warmer it gets, the more odors spread indoors—whether it’s pet urine, droppings, or other dirt. That’s exactly what Xiaomi kept in mind when developing this purifier. The device features up to a triple active carbon filter, which effectively removes common pet odors and improves indoor air quality.
Integration with other Xiaomi products
The purifier keeps a compact design similar to other Xiaomi models, but adds several upgrades. It includes a system of dual spiral airflow with a dual outlet, which efficiently reduces the amount of fur in the air. What’s more, it can connect with Xiaomi cleaning robots (such as a robot vacuum or mop) and precisely indicate where it’s needed to tidy up.
It also comes with an intelligent “anti-stress” algorithm for pets and sensors that detect PM1 particles, PM2.5 particles, and dust—as well as air temperature and humidity. Bonus: there’s a built-in LCD screen with a pet icon, plus a removable top cover you can use to store small toys for cats and dogs.
Price and availability of the new Xiaomi air purifier
This new release from Xiaomi is currently sold on the domestic Chinese market for 2399 yuan, which is approximately 300 € / 7500 CZK. Even though it’s a more expensive model compared to standard Xiaomi air purifiers, it brings a lot of technological innovations. And we hope it will also reach the European market.
