A large external screen with lots of features
From the design perspective, Xiaomi has apparently taken inspiration from its competitors. After all, this is their first attempt at producing a foldable smartphone with a “clamshell” design. When closed, the new device will definitely catch your eye with its 4.01-inch LTPS OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It covers most of the top half of the smartphone. From this screen, for example, you can reply to messages and use more than 200 optimized apps. Their number will almost certainly only grow over time.
The outer display can be personalized in various ways, so you can tailor the device’s look to your preferences. However, users will interact most with the internal LTPO OLED display, which offers a 6.86-inch diagonal and the same refresh rate of 120 Hz. You’ll also be pleased with the 1.5K resolution and a maximum (peak) brightness of 3000 nits. Device performance is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 alongside 12 GB / 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM. Memory options will include 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of internal storage.
Xiaomi MIX Flip comes with a large battery
Heat dissipation is critical for foldable devices. A vapor chamber with an area of 3500 mm2 takes care of that. Xiaomi MIX Flip has the potential to become the battery-life king in its category. It features a 4780 mAh battery and supports fast wired charging at the highest possible power of 67 W. The camera setup with color adjustments from Leica consists of a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS, supported by a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. In the top part of the inner display, there’s a 32 MP camera.
