Our favorite Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is also preparing a global version of its new foldable device under the name Xiaomi MIX Flip. It will also surprise with its sales price, which in local markets should beat the current leader, the Samsung Galaxy Flip 6.
Xiaomi MIX Flip: Here are the new information leaks
Just a few days ago, we witnessed a Chinese launch where Xiaomi officially unveiled its new foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi MIX Flip. It will also get its global version. And although the company hasn’t officially confirmed it yet, the well-known source Chun revealed on the social network “X” that the MIX Flip phone will also be available outside China, though only in selected markets.

The informant also mentions that this foldable model will be available in two color options in its global version: black and rose-gold. This is a slight change compared to the Chinese version, which is sold in black, white, and the special “Phoenix Feather Fiber Edition”.
The information leak also suggests that the MIX Flip model should be available in the European Union and in East and Southeast Asia pretty soon. However, it won’t be launched in India, because, according to the tipster, there is no mention of an Indian variant on Xiaomi’s servers.
Up to 100 dollars less than the main competitor
The most interesting aspect is likely the sales price. Xiaomi is taking the current market situation into account, and will sell its MIX Flip for about 100 fewer US dollars compared to the main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. The latter starts at 1099 dollars, and Xiaomi would therefore fit its device into a three-digit amount, roughly 999 dollars.
The main reason for the lower price is the absence of wireless charging, as well as the use of a slightly slower USB 2.0 port. As for the technical specifications, the MIX Flip should offer a 4.01″ external display, which will be the largest in the segment. The internal display then has 6.86″. This screen will offer a 120 Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and up to 3000 nits of brightness.

Performance will be handled by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It will be paired with up to 12 / 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB / 1 TB of internal storage. Dual rear cameras were developed in collaboration with Leica. Specifically, there will be a 50 MPx main sensor with OIS, as well as a 50 MPx periscope telephoto lens. The front camera will be 32 MPx and is housed in a cutout in the display. The battery has a capacity of 4780 mAh, with extremely fast 67 W wired charging included.
