Xiaomi has officially confirmed that on May 22, 2025 it will unveil the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra at its home Chinese conference — the brand’s most advanced tablet to date. Xiaomi has only shared a few official details so far, but we already know it will be a whole new level of tablets under the Ultra label, pushing the limits of performance and design.

Xiaomi presentation in our FB group

The tablet will be intended exclusively for the Chinese market for now, but it’s very likely that it will later also come to global sales. Xiaomi shared the first official parameters of its new “tablet” beast on its official Weibo profile, and this is what you can look forward to.

A huge OLED display with a narrow bezel

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra comes with a 14-inch OLED display, which will impress you right away not only with its size but also with its design. Thanks to the ultra-thin 3.95 mm bezel, it delivers a truly immersive visual experience, and Xiaomi promises a „shocking“ effect at first glance at the screen.

Below you can see official photos published directly by Xiaomi, and your eyes definitely won’t miss some kind of „cutout“ for the front camera, which looks very similar to the competitor Huawei MadePad Pro 13.2″.

The display will certainly also come with high resolution, a high refresh rate, and advanced color standards, as is typical for top-tier OLED panels. However, we still don’t know the exact display specs yet and will have to wait for the official unveiling.

A new 3 nm chipset from Xiaomi XRING O1

At the heart of this tablet will be a custom processor straight from Xiaomi: the latest XRING O1, which we’ve been writing about on our site for several days already. The chipset is made using a cutting-edge 3 nm manufacturing process.

It’s the first chip designed directly by Xiaomi and optimized for high-performance devices. Besides the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, this chip will also power the new flagship Xiaomi 15S Pro, which will be unveiled on the same day.

XRING O1

Brand-new, fresh performance benchmark results have appeared online, where the new XRING 01 processor delivers truly excellent results. Specifically, these are scores from the well-known Geekbench app: in the single-core test it reaches a score of over 3000 points, while the multi-core performance exceeds 9600 points.

With such a score, performance-wise it matches the current king of mobile processors from the manufacturer Qualcomm, meaning Snapdragon 8 Elite. Considering it’s Xiaomi’s very first flagship processor, on top of that worked on for 4 years, this result is more than impressive.

Premium processing and new accessories

Despite its size, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra keeps an elegant body with a thickness of just 5.1 mm. It weighs only 609 grams, which is an excellent result for a 14″ display. The body is likely made of metal, and you’ll be able to connect a new accessory — specifically the new generation of a magnesium-alloy magnetic keyboard, designed to deliver a notebook-like experience.

So the design combines lightness and strength, which is a big advantage for users on the go as well as at home. The tablet aims to compete with professional devices from Apple and Samsung, but at a more affordable price.

A massive battery and ultra-fast charging

The tablet also delivers top-tier battery life thanks to a 12,000 mAh battery capacity, which is among the largest in the tablet category. Xiaomi also includes 120W fast charging, so the tablet isn’t just built for long-lasting use—it can also be recharged very quickly.

Even under extremely demanding use, the tablet should handle a full day on a single charge and, if needed, recharge back to full capacity very quickly. This is an ideal solution for creators, professionals, and demanding students alike.

Official launch on 22 May.

As we’ve mentioned multiple times already, the official—so far Chinese—introduction of the new device will take place on 22 May, where we’ll learn all the detailed information.
