More loyal Xiaomi fans already definitely know that the Chinese giant’s portfolio includes plenty of great-equipped TVs that have already found their way to many happy owners.
According to the latest information, we should soon be getting the historically first TV from Xiaomi, featuring an OLED panel.
Dolby Vision and an 65″ OLED panel
The General Director of Xiaomi’s TV division posted a photo with Dolby Vision certification for a product labeled L65M5-OD on his Weibo profile.
In addition to Vision support, the TV will also support digital terrestrial broadcasting DTMB and TPV Xiamen.
The latest model in the range, Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Pro, had a display certified for HDR 10+, but it offered no other upgrades. That should change with the arrival of the new L65M5-OD TV.
We already know that the device will support Dolby Vision audio output, but we can only speculate about other specifications. The TV display will most likely feature a massive 65" and the suffix “OD” could mean an OLED panel.
Based on the available information, this will be a premium product with solid picture and sound output.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any other specifications yet, but we’ll monitor the whole situation responsibly.
