Xiaomi is preparing a new Mi 11T model. Here are the preliminary specs

It seems we won’t be spared smartphones with the “T” label even this year. It should be a more affordable model from the Xiaomi Mi 11 series. Leaked expected specs.

Flagships with the “T” label, too, this year

Smartphones with the “T” label have always been affordable flagships with top-tier hardware, but compromises were made in less important areas. Exactly this should also be the case with the expected Xiaomi Mi 11T smartphone.

A smartphone with model number 2107113SG was found in the FCC database. It should be equipped with a Snapdragon 888 processor, and it should be the Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro. According to the information, the standard Mi 11T will be fitted with a slightly weaker Snapdragon 870 or 860 processor. It’s also mentioned that the Xiaomi Mi 11T may support UWB technology, which is used, for example, by the iPhone 12 or Samsung Galaxy S21.

Expected specs

Last year’s Xiaomi Mi 10T hit the market in September. Something similar can be expected this year too. We also tested it in our editorial office. Besides the base version, we should see Pro and Lite models. All models should get OLED displays with an increased display refresh rate, up to 12 GB RAM, and up to 256 GB storage.

The battery will get a minimum capacity of 4 000 mAh, fast charging won’t be missing, and there will be multiple cameras on the back. Some speculation says that the Mi 11T series should get an under-display front selfie camera.

That seems unlikely to us, because for a while now we’ve known that the first such smartphone should be Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. Xiaomi will definitely want to keep exclusivity for the under-display selfie camera tech. This is also contradicted by the fact that flagships with the “T” label have always been more accessible, and Xiaomi has never used revolutionary technologies there.
